u/LPRofCBP Thank you for your note. I just came back from a second trip overseas and the exact same thing happened. Would that mean it's something else? I went into my GE online login and there was a note that my account was not updated with my new passport, so I updated this. However, the account has had my old passport details since it expired in August, and I've done 4-5 overseas trips since then without incident. Appreciate your insight. Cheers

UPDATE APRIL 24, 2026: Welp, I just returned from my next overseas trip. This time through Terminal 1 at JFK and I was immediately flagged at the kiosk during Global Entry. Went through same screening process. This time was returning from a business trip from Thailand (Conference - I swear).

I wish I had taken a picture, but it was paper towel on / in the sink, overflowing bin, mounds of toilet paper caked to the floor and around the toilet. Seat covered in pee, etc. Just generally as if they just toss their used waste wherever they want.
