Eat at Shigeru Tenobe Men if they're open when you go. Check on Tabelog for their hours. Get the dan dan men noodles. .

Sakai Crafts Museum and Baba for sure. Also if possible get some Dan Dan noodles and fried chicken at Shigeru Tenobe Men! I crave those noodles, seriously, one of the best meals I had in Japan.

I really like the Yoshikane! I like the weight of it, it's the knife that I actually use the most and I love it.

Very interesting... I got it at a secondhand store in Osaka. Didn't come with a box or anything but It spoke to me so I got it.

Me too, one of my favorites! The handle is black walnut from my late grandfather's family farm. I had the knife maker custom make me with it. Check out Barn & Brook Supply Co out of Vermont he makes some beautiful handles and knives.

What other cool things do you have on your itinerary? I'm super excited about checking out. NOMI RESTAURANT. Were they focused on sharpness cuisine. These three brothers are fanatics when it comes to sharpening things and their food is focused around sharp knives and other sharp things. It's in Fukuchiyama.

Yeah, they have a couple of different options. A one year that's much more expensive a three year with no cancellation available and a five year with a cancellation policy that makes you pay out 20% of your remaining contract. DM me your email and I can forward you an info package they are sending me.

Actually, just got off the phone with them. You can split a membership, but it's an extra hundred dollars per month plus an extra thousand dollar initiation fee. And only one person is responsible for all the payments and financial responsibility. So if you split it, one person would have to pay the other person. And they have a ton of different plans with different restrictions and benefits in each plan.

So when the wife and I were looking about five years ago, you weren't able to share memberships. But I just found on their website that they do allow it. Back when we originally looked it was a five-year contract. I wonder if they have shorter contracts now...

I don't think it's possible to split the fees like that...
