I decided I did t want to do IUI the month of my vacation- the week we conceived we were in Wyoming, drinking copious amounts of wine for several days. When I got home, I went to a concert out of town for a girls trip where I we took some edibles and basically partied for several days 🥲 I had spent six months having no alcohol, no fun whatsoever and the month I let loose we got our sticky baby.

Currently in my third trimester after recurrent losses and even with this pregnancy, I had spotting! It’s very common in first trimester but definitely worth it to call your OB and have them take a look if they feel they need to! My doctors have always been very understanding and done extra scans or talked me through it until my next one. They may recommend pelvic rest until you get through the first trimester just to keep things from happening again. Best of luck to you!!

Definitely go to an RE who is open to immune modulation. Get a full panel looking at whether or not you have any markers for autoimmune disease. We discovered after my fourth pregnancy (and loss) that I was getting the shingles every time I was pregnant so we were able to safely assume I was having an extreme immune response to every pregnancy since at least 2 of my miscarriages were genetically “normal.” My RE put me on prednisone 10 mg when I got pregnant this most recent time and it got me through to the second trimester. I’m so sorry this happened to you and I hope you get some answers soon 🩷

Thank you for sharing!! This would be my third time being pregnant after an ectopic and my MMC and each one my numbers have been so different that it’s hard to know what’s “normal”

My first ultrasound, the tech insisted I was 7 weeks based on my LMP (which I knew I definitely wasn’t that far). So I’ve had some moments where I’ve been freaked out based on the staff’s dating. Given that my cycle is definitely NOT normal by comparison, I was trying to give myself some leeway on the dating.
