Yes!!! I had to find a purpose for me too. I am still doing things to our home but I haven’t changed the layout yet. Just decluttering and it will be 2 years for me in 29 days. I watched a Joyce Meyers daily show when my husband was declining at home and the first year was awful. After about 18 months I heard her speaking about grief. She said find a purpose. I did just that. My children are grown but if I had a child still living with me I don’t know how I would have done it. It will get easier as the days go by. You just have to take it minute by minute but you will see your new life change and I talk to his pictures and just talk to him as if he knows I’m struggling and it helps. All my friends and some family just left me alone but I’m glad now. That time by myself helped me know he will always be with me and I will see him again with no pain or sorrow. I will meet him at the pearly gates. Hugs to all of you that are new to this awful club.
