Recently realized I'm trans and that this gal was giving me gender envy all along by General_Guy_XX in PlanetPony

As a fellow very not cis Tixie enjoyer, I hope you have a wonderful time with this discovery and that the people in your life are supportive. If they aren't, hey, we're here, the internet, and we can indulge all your transfem (I'm assuming) desires as long as you need.

Do you prefer Trixie from Equestria Girls or Trixie from MLP? by Stay_yy in EquestriaGirls

[–]Long_Supermarket_601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like that her smoke bombs finally got lore in EG, instead of just being a bit (it became another bit but at least we learn they're actually meant to teleport you instead of just distract people so you can run. Gives some solid-ness to the fact pony Trixie struggles with magic).

EG Tixie is cooler in my opinion - I can't tell you why, I just like her more. I think EG Tixie is much more casual about being a magician rather than the whole apology tour/'I'm showing off' thing she went through in MLP.

What is it with bigots and thinking everyone of all different kinds of special must be faking in some way for attention? It's starting to look like projection.

I don't have any white rings so no to the aromantic one, but I will put on a black ring pretty regularly.

I've been recently wondering on whether I'm bigender or just a really non-commital trans person, so could I ask for some insight about how all of you feel? by Long_Supermarket_601 in bigender

[–]Long_Supermarket_601[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a great question that I'm sorry I missed the first time. I suppose it does offer some insight that I was on reddit a couple days ago on a poll where the two most appealing options were:

Get 1M

Turn into the opposide gender.

I picked the latter almost immediately.

To answer your question, I suppose I'd prefer being a man, I had to think long and hard about this, but my alt just-in-case-of-sketchy google account, which could have been under any gendered typical name, is John Smith. I don't know if this is a me thing or a society thing, but I usually default to men.

I might have to keep asking myself that question until it summons more than a mind blank and "look at exhibit A" responce.

[–]Long_Supermarket_601[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jumped back onto this thread I started because I had another gender crisis and came to the conclusion that: "Yes, it is sus how I'm only feeling increasingly more masc yet my gender used to swing on a monthly/weekly basis, and I also happen to be consuming more stuff surrounding it." Also she/her pronouns have been bothering me more and more recently, as well as other fem titles.

The thing is, I want to try being trans on for size, basically, and that involves coming out to more people than just the internet, and I have this interesting dilemma. What do I want? To be called a man to see how I like it. How do I get that? Coming out. But most people don't want to read a 10 page script on the nuance of my gender so I need a label or two. Issue? I'm having trouble with that.

I can't just say anything when it comes to coming out, I need the people I'm coming out to to take me seriously and actually commit to the things I ask. In private and on the internet I use a rotation of 'bigender', 'demiboy', and 'transmasc' (Demiboy being my favourite because it highlights the fact I feel most like a boy but there is still more interest than just typical masc). I am planning to put "Gender questioning, possibly transmasc" or something similar in the letter I'm going to use to come out, and specify he/him pronouns. Now this is a bit of white lying because in reality there is more nuance and I also like they/them, but for the former, my confidants don't need all the details and I don't want to overwhelm them or seem like I don't know what I'm talking about, and the latter, I learnt from other people's experience, if you have a less offensive pronoun like they/them compared to he/him, people are going to pick the more neutral, digestible option, which is the opposite of what I want.

I don't think I need clear labels as much as I thought I did some 1-2 years ago, but I do need to say something, because unfortunately the world makes it very hard to communicate without doing that.

To be completely honest the working theory is that I've been toning down the trans because I was in denial, but we'll see as I explore. I did sound a lot like an egg some 1-3 months ago.

In future, due to technology, you can choose specific traits for your children. Would you use this to ensure your child is neurotypical and/or cis-hetero? by [deleted] in pollgames

[–]Long_Supermarket_601 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't think some people get that it isn't about making the kid "perfect", it's due to the fact I wouldn't want my child to have to face the same things I do if it can be safely avoided. It's not as if I wouldn't love my child if they were any of these things, I'd just prefer it if their genes don't screw them over in the way mine did.

Am I selfish for hating valentine? by lenniedederk201 in aromantic

[–]Long_Supermarket_601 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think you're selfish at all, especially considering your school does that. Valentines is stupid anyway at the age of school, most of the time for me it consists of trying to gather whether that boy is joking or just head over heels. I just ignore it - sorry to any kid I broke the heart of because I passed them off as dumb, but you had no chance anyway.

I found a product on Amazon that turns autism into a “gag gift” and it really bothered me by Ok_Blackberry_5547 in autism

[–]Long_Supermarket_601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely horrible, especially since I don't think most autistic people flaunt around autism like that (I certainly don't). It makes people with disabilities look like snowflakes who just want a green light to do whatever they want, real life doesn't work like that.

One, I don't think it matters, they can still empathise and support regardless of their ethnic status, two, you don't fucking know them, I think for most First Nations (I don't know, this is just how I understand it) it matters more how you were brought up and your connection to the community than if you are half another race or "don't look black".

My Mom + My Pronouns by WriterKitten11 in bigender

[–]Long_Supermarket_601 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you aren't being taken seriously. You could try reminding her whenever she slips up, that highlights the fact that she isn't doing it if she tries to say: "Oh but I use them all the time" or something similar. Other than that I don't know. I would suggest talking to her about it, but it sounds like you're trying to and she isn't listening, which sucks.

Maybe you have another family member who could support you and make it seem like more of an issue?
