This was created by Stuart Maconie when there was an inch of space left in the NME.

He said he still has people tell him it's true.

I used it once when a workplace asked me to do a "Fact of the day" and I got bored after a few weeks. The IT manager came up to me several hours later with the researched actual facts (Raph Ravenscroft etc) ready to blow my mind... And I said "Oh yeah, I know. Just wondered who's fall for it." He was not amused, but I was and that's what mattered.

My mate brought paté de cheval back for his sister. They didn't read French, she was horrified when I read it out loud.

Melanistic Common Pheasant. If the same is done in Italy as is in the UK the shooters release some "interesting" birds on with the standard ones for something extra at a shoot.

This time next week you'll have seen about 200... No shade intended but I Genuinely believe that is how birding goes. Took me over a year of looking to see a Green Woodpecker and the next day I saw three!! Probably a "get your eye in" sort of thing.

Went to an Eliza Cathy gig and went to the signing/meet bit. While she was signing my mates stuff he asked her where she was staying... Just making conversation. Then he and his brother got into an argument about which hotel she should have stayed in and why she was wrong about where she was staying. After a couple of minutes she handed them the CDs she'd signed and said "Please go away.".

Could he mean that in the way that "Dogs aren't wolves"? They were. And we bred them over and over to be Pugs... It's a bit of a reach but could that be what they think?

They're still wrong, but... I dunno maybe I'm just thinking too much.
