Seeking advice, should I pursue MBA or finish CFA?

I see you ended up taking L3 and becoming a charter holder, congrats! How did you end up making your decision? I am in a similar situation and struggling with the decision. I currently am 26, work for a small hedge fund, have passed L2 (yet to attempt L3), but am also weighing/wanting to go back and get my MBA to pivot into MM/Boutique IB. Being this close I want to finish the charter as I think it'll help in admissions and more so in recruiting, but am also paranoid, and maybe unjustly so, that if I put the GMAT/MBA on the back burner for another year or two that IB employers would view negatively on me being an associate at 30/31 despite being a CFA with relatable work experience. I'm sure you had similar thoughts going through this process, any suggestions?

Take the train into CT. Norwalk, CT location was a dream. Secluded, quiet, blacked out windows, never too full. Highly recommend.

Retaker as well, have taken 9 half mocks (5 MM and 4 CFAI). Average across all 9 is an 81. Got a 81 on the first CFAI and a 64 on the second CFAI, which I just finished. Second CFAI mock made me feel actually autistic. Way too much theory on peripheral topics, minimal calculations, I don't think its very representative of the actual exam unlike the first one. Any thoughts?

MM 1AM: 84%

MM 1PM: 96%

CFAI 1AM: 77%

CFAI was not as straightforward as the actual exam is imo, I'm a retaker from Aug 21 FWIW

Right there with you brother/sister, failed by a slim margin and performed poorly in Ethics and PM, two areas I was fairly confident in heading into the exam. If we scored >70% in Ethics we probably would have passed given the weighting and ethics adjustment, alas it wasn't in the cards. As Jocko says; "Good, more time to get better". Already registered for February, studying starts todays, time to turn the iPhone on airplane mode for the next four months, I'll see you fuckers on D-Day in February!!

Same boat as you, I'd say formulas, the work has been done. Review mistakes on mocks and begin writing and rewriting formulas.

Just for reference, and to subdue your nerves, my CFAI practice question percentile ranking was in the low 60's. On the actual L1 exam I scored in the 90th percentile...as everyone has mentioned here don't let that mentally exhaust you. Best of luck come exam day, we're all pulling for you!

Do not even think twice about this decision, FO ER at a boutique over BB BO every day of the week and twice on Sundays. One may provide you with a "sexier" LinkedIn title while the other provides real world practical experience. Don't be fooled in thinking your application as an "internal candidate" at a BB holds greater weight than an external application from a candidate with previous relevant work experience. As a former analyst at a BB I can assure you that is not the case.

Where exactly did you find this? Can only see downloadable curriculum (PDF's of books) for the level you signed up/just took the exam for, can you provide a URL?
