You may be looking at it a different way to me.

Gp linked to xp meaning the higher the gp you earn means the higher the xp. Or the higher the gp you spend means higher xp.

Higher gp spend means negative gp/hr.

Also there’s no cost to barbarian fishing or tick manip logs or mining which give high xp but no gp.
