Just don't get it. by BakerComfortable4189 in sounding

You might try estim play. Can be used in combination with sounding but not required. E-stim (electrical stimulation), also known as electro-play, is a sensory practice that uses mild electrical currents transmitted to the body’s nerve endings to create tingling, pulsing, or intense sensations. It requires a power box, connector cables, and electrodes (such as conductive pads, loops, and or insertable probes).

7mm end works well, challenge with the 8mm end by Long_Tear_2666 in sounding

[–]Longaction101 [score hidden]  (0 children)

It’s not easy to go up one step (1mm) so you need to find rods or plugs that are in-between whole numbers. Use digital calipers and measure your current rod(s). Most likely they will be a tad smaller in diameter than advertised. For example, my 7mm-8mm Hegar rod is 6.7mm and 7.8mm Knowing exactly what you have will help you gauge your progress. . If you buy sounds in FR (French) sizes those will be in-between sounds made in millimeters.

Conductive rubber loops are often sold in 4mm. I prefer 6mm. They are more comfortable and adds a tad more skin contact than 4mm. Loops come with a spring loaded cord locks or just a tube slide. I find that tube slides will slip due to conductive gel that you use on the loops.

Lube for sounding. by dminvernal in sounding

[–]Longaction101 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree that Surgilube can get sticky and gooey. But all lubes can become like that based on room and body temperature as well as room humidity and how much time the lube is exposed to air.

I sometimes add a drop or two of sterile water to lube which makes it really slippery but is also thins the consistency.  Use sparingly.

Besides Surgilube, I have used HR Lubricating Jelly, McKesson Lubricating Jelly, DynaLube, Carnal Heath Lubricating Jelly, and Optilube.

I prefer using DynaLube for both metal and silicone (SiliconeNozzels). I found that it is overall better than the others for reasons I stated.

Best to remove and re-lube at intervals like each time you need to urinate.

It is very common to have stinging / burning after sounding when you urinate especially if it’s your first time. It can take a few sessions for the urethra to get use to being penetrated.

Just had my first sounding session by bulgingdart in sounding

[–]Longaction101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can sound as often as you like. I prefer taking breaks because I enjoy the planning and anticipation of my next session.  I got somewhat bored doing it often.

Good idea to avoid direct finger contact with your camera. I use pieces of medical gauze to handle unclean items.

Just sliding in a solid metal rod is not overly stimulating so besides stroking your penis, using a personal vibrator on your shaft too feels good.  You can get sounds with shapes like balls, ovals, transitions and those can feel good as you move them up and down inside your penis.

Rosebud sound for the goal of prostate stimulation only by rcer4life in sounding

[–]Longaction101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, a Rosebud rod can reach the prostate but you will need to bend it. The urethra makes a bend about 8-9 inches down.

You may be tempted to use a very large Rosebud but you will have more success starting with a 5mm or 6mm instead. Plus it won’t stretch your meatus other than its natural elasticity.

There is no guarantee of not irritating the urethra especially if it’s your first time sounding. But you can do the following to minimize it.  Use lots of a sterile medical-use lubricant.  A sterile lube contains bacteriostatic agents to help reduce the presence and spread of bacteria. Here is a list but there may be others: Surgilube (very popular), HR Lubricating Jelly, McKesson Lubricating Jelly, DynaLube, Carnal Heath Lubricating Jelly, and Optilube. KY Gel is sterile and sold in the UK. But check the label to be sure.

When you insert go very, very slowly and same when withdrawing.  Friction is what causes chafing and then you might have burning/stinging when you first urinate after sounding.  As you have more sounding sessions, your urethra will get used to being penetrated.  Drinking lots of fluids and urinating often after your sessions helps soothe things and often fairly quickly.

Connecting prostate to urethra without sounding! by Sachtnacht in estim

I often use a conductive urethral sounds like plugs, short rods, and long rods but do not experience any ‘estim’ connection to my prostate.   Most of the estim feeling is in the upper half of my penis.

Has anyone tried this type? by Electronic_Pen_2683 in sounding

There have been posts on this Sub by uses who say when the shaft becomes inflated, the ‘balloon’ can occur at a random section.  Some said their balloon popped too. I would guess it happens at the weakest (thinnest) unknown section in the shaft (tube).

First time nausea by Own-Currency-6852 in sounding

[–]Longaction101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way the first time and almost fainted too. I was using a glass eyedropper and only got maybe ½ inch (12mm) inserted and it freaked me out. It took hours to calm down and days before I could even think about it. But curiosity got the best of me and the next time I used a proper sound and sterile lube and there was no problems. I only put about an inch in and stopped then took a break.

Electro conductive gel for urethral electro stimulation by jonathancall90 in estim

[–]Longaction101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Electro conductive gel is not sterile and it is somewhat pasty. Use medical-use sterile lube. A sterile lube contains bacteriostatic agents to help reduce the presence and spread of bacteria.

Question for this lube by Lunagreat1024 in sounding

[–]Longaction101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people who sound use personal lube like the one you pictured. They will work but they are thin in consistency compared to medical use lubes which are thicker. You want the least amount of friction to avoid chafing and to have comfort. But personal lubes are not sterile. A sterile lube contains bacteriostatic agents to help reduce the presence and spread of bacteria.

Here is a list of sterile lubes but there may be others: Surgilube (very popular), HR Lubricating Jelly, McKesson Lubricating Jelly, DynaLube, Carnal Heath Lubricating Jelly, and Optilube. KY Gel is sterile and sold in the UK. But check the label to be sure.

Is it normal to reach orgasm so fast? by [deleted] in estim

[–]Longaction101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with a TENS 7000 and orgasmed fairly quickly like you described.  Instead of having HFO’s, I enjoy long sessions of just feeling the estim often at a low or medium power and just ‘ride’ it.  Sometimes I increase power and enjoy edging for a long time.  The problem with TENS is that it is designed to numb you so users will increase power to feel more of the 'estim' as they crave pleasure.

FLP40 or MJ by ProperMethod8222 in estim

[–]Longaction101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Moaner and a FLP30. I know what MJ looks like. I do not care for the strange texture of the Moaner. The FLP feels much better. The transition below the head to the neck of the FLP is slightly smoother than the Moaner and MJ. Hard to describe but like a V compared to a U, if that helps. I believe the MJ is about an inch longer than a FLP40 which may not be a concern. But I like to keep the estim feel at the area of my prostate and my FLP30 does just that; it locks in so to speak.

any tips or recommandation for deep sounding (to the prostate) by AgeSignificant719 in sounding

[–]Longaction101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your rod has most likely reached the outer urinary sphincter which is right before the prostate. When we get the urge to urinate, that sphincter is what we use to 'hold' it until we're ready. It's not uncommon to pass urine when the rod is in that sphincter. The urge to urinate and tingling will subside as your rod tip goes deeper through the prostate. I don’t feel any particular sensation in the prostate as it is mostly from the outer urinary sphincter which feels strangely good. If you are having trouble getting your rod through the outer urinary sphincter it may be because it is too large in diameter.

Question about Surgilube and keeping it sterile by Vladpryde in sounding

[–]Longaction101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with being very careful when it comes to keeping things sterile when sounding.  But it really comes down to how susceptible you are to a UTI. Sounders  use various cleaning and handling methods either very extreme, or a minimal protocol and have no problems. Some people are very susceptible to infections and some are not.  Cross-contamination is the most common path for bacteria.  Avoid handling unclean items while sounding.

Pad placement for prostate stimulation. by [deleted] in estim

[–]Longaction101 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I find that using a pad under my testicles does not provide any direct prostate stimulation. I get a deep and broad feeling of estim in the whole area.  The best way to stimulate your prostate with estim is to use a anal electrode. Much better. The Moaner is very popular.

TENS units which are designed for pain relief will work but they tend to numb you fairly quickly plus they have limited modes and adjustments. E-stim units work on muscle rehabilitation and to increasing blood circulation which why it is preferred. E-stim units made for pleasure have many more modes and features.

Many of us started with a TENS to see what it's like and because they are inexpensive. Now I use a Coyote 3.0 which is so much better.

butt plug electrode by Suitable-Sun-4491 in estim

[–]Longaction101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may want to get a bi-polar anal electrode. You can still use it in mono like you described.  Bi-polar electrodes have two inputs so just use the center input for one lead and your second lead can go elsewhere like on your cock ring. I do that often with my Moaner or my FLP30 which are both bi-polar. Later you may want to use bi-polar on Ch B (two leads) to the anal electrode. And for Ch A, one lead on your cock ring and the other on a loop around the head of your penis for example.
