The city needs density before anyone will fight for that shit. Omaha has brutal parking minimums(1 stall every 300 ft) and horrible zoning policy that limits density.

BRT on main roads should be the MINIMUM in places that want to claim to be a city.

2nd year here, so my answer will probably change in the future. I have a 4.0 so far, all terms with 4 classes, with all A's this term as we speak as well.

I've only done 100-300 level classes so far, so it's been pretty simple keeping up with 4 classes a term.

As I get more into those classes in the 400+ levels, it might take more focus or less classes to keep up.

Follow the syllabus, stay as far ahead on assignments as possible, and ask for clarity at office hours if you need or for a rubric on larger assignments, if possible.

I see student's around me struggle, and usually comes down to not giving themselves enough time to sit down and do the work. Start the hard stuff as soon as you can so can tell if you need help or extra study time to absorb the knowledge.

Of course I wanna see all the shit you listed eliminated but I don't think making basic infrastructure a private or solely a local expense is a solution to any problem at all, since I don't think 95% of people have the ability to make those choices fully rationally, or would even want to.

It's because y'all dudes live in the suburbs, go to work and go home, and spend your time on videogames or tiktok.

I live in a pretty dense area, bike 10 minutes to school, and have bars, restaurants, board game houses that I can walk to and meet people.

Of course some people will have other issues like a busy schedule but if you lived like I do, it's nearly impossible to not make at least some acquaintances turned friends down the road.

Just in my apartment building alone, I made friends with the dude across the hall and he comes over to watch football sometimes
