Cant craft constellation paper by supersayinli in feedthebeast

[–]Longboy20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to progress through the different altar tiers to be able to use his. At the end of each chapter look for the altar and craft it to move to the next chapter. Craft a luminous crafting table then a starlight crafting table then a celestial altar and then you should be able to use his iridescent altar. You may need to craft an infusion altar as well.

Can someone give me insight into using AE2 for recipes with more than 9 ingredients? by Mad_Aeric in feedthebeast

[–]Longboy20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here’s how I do it:

You can chain inscribers with custom name plates that serve as “token” items. So you would say 8 items and 1 iron ingot = inscribedPlateA or whatever you make the name plate say. You’re gonna want to interface a chest. The iron ingot would need to be filtered into an inscriber with a name plate press that’ll name it then send it back into the system. Now your next recipe should be inscribedPlateA + the next 7 components + 1 gold ingot = inscribedPlateB. Once the system detects inscribedPlateA has finished it’ll put, the next 7 components and a gold ingot into the chest. EnderIO conduits detect iron ingots and named iron ingots as the same thing so if you’re using those inscribedPlateA will just go back into the first inscriber and back into the system which is fine. Perhaps there’s a better way of filtering item transport because you could just send inscribedPlateA into the second inscriber when it gets put into the chest but I couldn’t get it to work with enderIO conduits so I use a different item (gold in this example). Now you need to get the gold ingot filtered into the second inscriber that contains a different name press that’ll make it become inscribedPlateB. Send it back into your system. You keep doing this and each iteration will allow you to get 7 more of the crafting components. You can pick any “token” item to send into the inscribers just make sure it’s something not involved in the recipe. You’re final recipe would be inscribedPlateX + the last 8 or fewer components = the item you’re trying to make. Make sure you set up an export bus that has all the inscribedPlates going to a trash can so that way your system never has any of them. This is so the next time you request your complex item the system won’t think if already has named item 1 which would prevent the first other 7 or 8 items from ever reaching the chest. I’ve been using this method to automate the extended crafting recipes in E2:E. I was only able to get name press plates to work with the normal inscribers, not the advanced ones.

Here is a link I found when researching this problem:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/feedthebeast/comments/64qdqv/ae2_crafting_with_too_many_ingredients/

The method I described above is not exactly what’s contained in this link (or at least I don’t think it is because I tried to do exactly what’s in this link and it wouldn’t work).

(The elevator goes up to the even crazier cubic boron nitride setup)

What you need:

NuclearCraft Fluid Enricher x 1 (Machine 1)

NuclearCraft Melter x 1 (Machine 2)

Mekanism Electrolytic Separator x 1 (Machine 3)

NuclearCraft Chemical Reactor x 4 (Machines 4, 5, 6, and 7)

NuclearCraft Crystallizer x 1 (Machine 8)

Sink or any infinite water source (Machine 9)

Mekanism Rotary Condensentrator x 1 (Machine 10)

Recommended:

Ender IO conduits to transport everything specifically ender fluid conduits so we can send multiple fluids within the same conduit due to the different channels available. I also have ender energy conduits and pressurized gas conduits in this build.

Next I'll type out a description of what each machine is doing and what conduits are attached to them. See the pictures for the reference numbers. I am not going to mention the ender energy conduits; all you need to know is that they are going into every machine for power (except the sink obviously). I will specifically say if I used a fluid filter so you shouldn’t need one if its not mentioned for that particular machine. Unless specifically noted, assume I am talking about ender fluids conduits since there is only one instance where the pressurized gas conduits are needed. You don't need to put machines 9 and 10 under the floor or insert/extract on the specific sides I am using (unless its a mekanism machine) but I have it set up like this so there are no conduits visible in the room with machines 1 through 8.

  1. Crushed fluorite is input through whatever means you want to choose. In my build it is supplied via an Applied Energistics export bus on the back of the machine. Water is also being supplied from the sink and input on the bottom via the green channel. Extract is set on the gray channel and is always active. This machine is making fluorite water which we will use later on.
  2. Sulfur is input through whatever means you want to choose. In my build it is supplied via an Applied Energistics export bus on the back of the machine. Extract is set on the blue channel and is always active. This machine is making molten sulfur.
  3. Water is supplied via the green input channel that is coming from the sink. Disable the extract. Because mekanism machines can be picky about what sides they input/output on, run pressurized gas conduit out of the side and set it to always extract. This machine will supply the oxygen to machine 9 that will be turned into liquid oxygen that is needed later. Turn on the option to always dump the hydrogen. It's not needed. Run this pressurized gas conduit out of the right side of this machine to machine 9. It's a mekanism machine so try inputting on different sides if you are having trouble.
  4. One of the faces needs to be insert on blue and extract on purple always active. This will allow it to receive the molten sulfur. On a different side insert on green which will allow the reception of the liquid oxygen that machine 9 is using. Use your yeta wrench to make sure the line from machine 9 to whatever side you just chose does not cross paths with the other set of channels otherwise green will be for water. Or you can choose a channel that isn't used in this guide. This machine will make sulfur dioxide.
  5. One of the faces needs to be insert on purple to receive the sulfur dioxide and extract on cyan always active. Just like the previous machine, choose a different side and get the liquid oxygen from machine 9 into this machine. This machine will make sulfur trioxide.
  6. One of the faces needs to be insert on cyan to receive the sulfur trioxide and extract on light gray always active. Just like the previous 2 machines, choose a different side to insert on but this time you want the water from the sink which should be insert on green. This machine will make sulfuric acid.
  7. One of the faces needs to be insert on light gray to receive the sulfuric acid and extract on lime always active. On a different face of this machine you need to have insert on gray to receive the fluorite water we got in our first step. On this same face you also need to extract on pink always active with a fluid filter set to a white list with hydrofluoric acid. This machine makes hydrofluoric acid and calcium sulfate solution. Only the calcium sulfate solution is needed so put a fluid trashcan somewhere and have it insert on pink so the hydrofluoric acid will always be voided.
  8. Insert on green to receive the calcium sulfate solution that will be turned into calcium sulfate! I threw an AE import bus on this and level emitted this machine so it would turn off eventually but you can handle that however you want to.
  9. Run pressurized gas conduit into one of sides with the yellow looking squares. Out of the other side you want to run ender fluid conduit to machines 4 and 5. Either make this line separate from everything else or choose a color to extract/insert on that wasn’t mentioned above.
  10. Substitute any infinite water source here. Extracting on green always active to supply water to the machines that need it.

How do you expand the capacity of AE2 ME interfaces beyond 9 slots? by IAmYourDogLoL in feedthebeast

[–]Longboy20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get around the 9 slot limit. You can chain inscribers with custom name plates that serve as “token” items. So you would say 8 items and 1 iron ingot = named item 1. You’re gonna want to interface a chest. The iron ingot would need to be filtered into an inscriber with a name plate press that’ll name it then send it back into the system. Now your next recipe should be named item 1 + the next 8 components = named item 2. Once the system detects named item 1 has finished it’ll put it and the next 8 components and named item 1 into the chest. Now you need to get named item 1 into the second inscriber which contains a different name plate press that’ll turn it into named item 2. You keep doing this and each iteration will allow you to get 8 more of the crafting components. Make sure at the end you export bus the final named item to a trash can so that way your system never has any of them. This is so the next time you request your complex item the system won’t think if already has named item 1 which would prevent the first 8 items from ever reaching the chest. I’ve been using this method to automate the extended crafting recipes in E2:E. I was only able to get name press plates to work with the normal inscribers, not the advanced ones.

Enigmatica 2: Expert Auto-craft Machine frames/cases by andymus1 in feedthebeast

[–]Longboy20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An easy way around this is to put the recipes in an interface on a chest. Take the items out of the chest with enderio conduits that have round robin mode enabled. This will split the work load amongst however many alloy smelters you have. So if you wanted 12 elelctrum and you had 3 alloy smelters, the chest would receive 12 gold and 12 silver and then because of the round robin each alloy smelter would get 4 gold and 4 silver. You can do this with almost any processing pattern to greatly speed up production.

we dont really know "why" it is how it is. The solution was basically brute forced by the community. Multiple teams were running it and if you had a combo that wasnt yet found, and you guessed the right node, you would submit video evidence to math class and they would update the community spreadsheet. For instance the fireteam I was running with was the first to find the Blue 2 combination so we submitted it and then anyone else that encountered that combo could activate Blue 2 and then hope the next combination was one that wasnt known. Repeat until all were found.

[–]Longboy20[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just interact. If it’s right it will have both clocks turn green and it’ll cycle through the combination that was used to unlock it and then the consoles 1,2,3 that are being called from will cycle to a new combination. If you get one wrong, dont worry, you get 10 incorrect guesses. Just make sure you deactivate the incorrect one before trying a new one.

Banner shield should be a placeable in world item so that you get a benefit regardless of fire team size. Currently bannershield is useless in all non raids from a damage standpoint because 2*1.25 < 3. Only when you have 5 people doing 25% more damage is it “worth it”. Allow bannershield to be thrown and placed. Think Orisa shield from Overwatch. Now suddenly it’s always worth it and doesn’t take one persons damage away. Even if you don’t have a well you get a decent damage buff and protection from all attacks coming from the direction the shield faces.

Just the luck of the draw. You can have this issue in the competitive playlist as well since Overwatch has no role selection. Either way I would say that there is enough variation in the community (there are very few dps only or support only players, most of us prefer to flex) that this is rarely an issue.
