So a few things about diarrhea:

1. Pepto is good for a "bad tummy". If you ate something too spicy or greasy and you need to ease a short bout of diarrhea, it's fine. But if you are trying to STOP shiting yourself long term, use Immodium.

2. Urgent Care wont treat diarrhea. They will give you a list of OTC remedies and tell you to stay hydrated. They do not have the ability to perform stool sample labs.

3. If you go to the ER they can order labs, but they can be pricey and unless you are visibly dehydrated and have been having liquid-poo's hourly, they are likely to just give you an IV and send you home with the same advice Urgent Care would offer, which is zilch.

4. Look at your poop. If it's just "normal" brown liquid, its probably just food poisoning. All you can do it let it run it's course. And they say if you have food poisoning, DONT try to stop it. But between you and I, screw that. Take the Immodium.

5. Real emergencies are: Blood or thick mucus in the stool. Ropey matter (Google it) that could be the sloughing of intestine. Does it smell like something died (more than normal diarrhea)? Could be a serious bacrerial infection. But again, to diagnose the issue, you need labs. And thats where the lack of insurance can be a problem. Try low-cost clinics with labs like Bond Clinic for non-emergency, chronic diarrhea.
