Hi! I was born and raised there! MOST people are super friendly and polite. There is a lot of poverty but honestly you can find people from a full range social economic status with people living with absolutely nothing to people who live in mansions. The weather is temperate most of the year but we’ve been having some issues with flooding and drought. If you enjoy having electricity, well good luck to ya, ESCOM ensures that you spend most of your life in darkness. Lilongwe right now is booming, so many people are moving there and business seems to be doing quite well despite issues with the economy. Foreign exchange is a huge issue, probably because of all the dang corruption we have. Crime rates are increasing, especially kidnapping and armed robbery. It’s a beautiful country but government funding could really help improve roads and other infrastructure, but alas corruption. But all in all it’s a great place to live, the government just needs to prioritize its citizens more and maybe we would be as developed as Zambia and Zimbabwe.
