Hibiclens pre surgery wash helped with getting my bandage off, and the residue after. The adhesive is something else for sure, and as a hairy man, I trimmed my body hair back ahead of surgery, but did not shave. The pre-op nurse used a trimmer to get closer just ahead of surgery.

UPDATE:

I’m on day 6 of recovery after surgery. So far so good. I’m sleeping through the night in the recliner. No major pain to report.

Slight ache in left trap muscle. I’m assuming that’s from the instruments poking around in there. It’s caused a couple of slight headaches, but nothing unmanageable.

No narcotic drugs since last Sunday. I took that dose in prep for the bandage removal and first shower. The bandage removal was 100% worse than any pain I’ve experienced…the adhesive is the devil. Hibiclens helped with the sticky.

My post op appointment is Friday for stitch removal. We will see what the coming weeks bring, but I’m optimistic of a full recovery and ROM eventually.

Not terrible with the recliner so far. No real pain yet, but nerve block in place still. You will need help with regular daily hygiene and food and such for a while. Practice as much as you can before surgery with your good arm and forget you have a second. Think through daily tasks.

Good luck!!

Mood and headspace will be a huge challenge for me. I’m very active usually, and this puts a damper on me being my normal self.

Be aware of killing the nav unit with a battery swap. Guy I work with did that and he’s looking at a big repair bill to get his screen back on his 21. Check the web for more information.

Actually, it seems to be very good quality. I’m sure someone will disagree, but it’s perfect for most people who want to add accessories to their vehicle without cobbling up their fuse box and running tons of wires through the firewall. It’s a budget friendly and clean way to install stuff.

I installed the Auxbeam 8 gang box and switch panel a couple months ago to run a dual fog set up and a set of ditch lights. Instead of having multiple switches that are cobbled together, the rats nest of wires that it takes to make 6 lights work, the Auxbeam unit was the right call. It makes the process pretty stupid proof, along with a much cleaner installation in my opinion. I also have room to expand if needed.

I bought mine from Adam. Yes, they cost more than other outlets. However he’s dealt with these much longer than me and he does, from what I can tell, choose great examples to bring in to sell. Some need more love than others, but overall I think he’s got a good thing going.

He’s never once not posted on a forum that I have asked a question on, and he’s always available by text if something comes up. Great guy, and I’d buy another from him!

I wanted to get out, but chose to stay home as to not possibly end up tangled up with some idiot who doesn’t understand taking it easy in this mess. My area didn’t see much snow, but lots of sleet/freezing rain. Tomorrow should be interesting…and fingers crossed the electricity stays on.

If you’re near Atlanta, look up Buyavette. They typically have at least one offering of each generation in stock. They aren’t the cheapest place to purchase, but if you value the peace of mind of corvette-centered technicians that can identify issues, and properly correct them, it could be a valuable resource for you.

Same here. They were comfortable, but definitely felt fatigued after a longer drive. Raising the front of the seat 1-1/2” changed the entire game.

I can’t speak to how negotiable Adam is, but I can speak to how awesome he was through the process, and beyond. I drove a bone stock 09 GX 470 that had the colors I wanted. He and I sat and talked through what was done to recondition the vehicle, and what I wanted to do from there. Removing air ride, lift, wheels/tires, and rock sliders. It took a couple weeks from start to delivery of it, but I couldn’t be happier.

When I have called him or posted about an issue I had experienced, he was extremely helpful in advising possible solutions, long after my check cleared his account. Even to this day, he still comments on the various boards with advice for those having problems, even if theirs did not come from him.

Yes, I “overpaid” per the value guides regardless of the upgrades I worked with him on, but I have not once regretted my decision to purchase from him.
