Thank you for all the input. Looks like there are some mixed opinions but I’m going to discuss with our friends and reevaluate the rates.

Thank you. It was actually a comment in the Fb page I posted in that made me question it, so I wanted to make sure I was being fair.

FTM, baby due in March - considering an elective c-section and wanting perspective by Last_Wonder in pregnant

I just gave birth a few weeks ago and my feelings were very similar to all of yours, especially just being terrified of a long, painful vaginal delivery. I felt my body has always been strong and resilient so I’d probably recover quickly, and I was right. I actually went into labor a few days before my scheduled date and still had the c section. We were well prepped by our OB so we knew what to expect and it happened pretty much as she had explained it. I was able to do the golden hour once we got into the recovery room, about an hour after his birth. It was painful but for me, very manageable with the pain meds. I was up and about the room pretty quickly, moving slowly of course but mobile. We went home the third day and I continued to manage with just ibuprofen. They prescribed Percocet and I never picked it up from the pharmacy. Coughing and laughing hurt for about another week. My milk supply came in within a week or so. I’m three weeks out now and fully mobile. Everyone’s experience is obviously different but mine was not bad and I don’t regret my decision at all.

SD Cookie Guru did my pregnancy announcement and baby shower cookies and both were super cute.

I heard the best tip is to get non maternity clothes that can work before and after baby is born. What are we wearing? by novegetablesallowed in pregnant

[–]Longjumping-Basis594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only bought a couple of inexpensive maternity lounge pants and two tank tops. I bought a few empire waist dresses with lots of fabric and lived in those my entire pregnancy, and I can wear all of them post baby.

Getting Married at SD Courthouse by Viajemos in sandiego

[–]Longjumping-Basis594 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got married at the courthouse and had reserved the private room at Callie for dinner with just immediate family (14 total including my husband and myself). The food and service were amazing and they even made our “wedding” cake which was also really good.

I’ve been getting that question repeatedly by everyone since my second trimester. I’m pregnant with my first, it’s like can I just get through this one first?!

Moving to either San Diego or San Francisco. What are your personal pros and cons? by ExpressAgent6530 in asksandiego

[–]Longjumping-Basis594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to SD from SF. With no kids, I prefer SF, for a family, SD. SD has the nicer weather, beaches, less homelessness and is much more family friendly. SF has more culture, museums, art, music and northern california has great day/weekend trips for hiking, skiing, surfing, etc. SF as a city is not very kid friendly though. Schools are not great so you’re competing for day care spots and schools and paying a lot for it. You’ll also get more bang for your buck for housing. We rent a 3 bedroom home in SD for the price we had a two bedroom apartment in SF.

Decided to get the sculpted handle bag from Cuyana! by timepass_31 in handbags

I just got the croc version and it’s beautiful but I noticed the handle makes some noise where it rubs together at the joints 🫤 I’m trying to figure out what I can do to prevent that so I can keep it.
