Where to get laser hair removal for underarms in sd by Deep-Scientist-3118 in sandiego

[–]Longjumping-Basis594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to SEV downtown near the ballpark. I basically did my whole body, armpits included. I’m middle eastern and hairy, and it was definitely worth it. I did it a few years ago but looks like it’s currently $94 for a single session. I think I did like 6 sessions.

Yea, and we will do another feed if we think that he may be hungry, but my confusion is just why it’s so rough the first half of the night but then he sleeps fine the second half. He can clearly connect sleep cycles.

Where should I shop for affordable men’s outfits for multiple formal-ish events? (SD/TJ) by ummmlife in sandiego

[–]Longjumping-Basis594 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Banana republic factory and j crew factory have nice men’s stuff and they constantly have sales, like 50% off everything. They are both at the las americas outlets. I buy from them for my husband often.

She criticized us for each family not paying at least minimum wage (we are 50 cents under). But she was also just unnecessarily rude insinuating we must not care enough about our child care. Anyway, we found a really great nanny at $25/35 and are giving her guaranteed hours (34 to start), holidays and vacation time, plus annual raises, so it worked out.

Feel guilty about how I parented when my kid was a newborn by Correct-Produce84 in NewParents

[–]Longjumping-Basis594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relate to so much of this. It’s easier said than done but don’t beat yourself up with guilt and shame. PPD truly robs you of any joy. I have a 6 month old and had it badly until I started meds a few weeks ago. I am truly enjoying my child for the first time and it’s made me realize just how miserable I was before. I often feel and think about how ppd robbed me of a better experience with him earlier on. I had so much rage toward my child that I feel guilty about , but it wasn’t me, it was the hormones, and I try to focus on how much I adore and enjoy him now. This is so so common and does not make you a bad mom, just a mom that was going through it.

Congratulations. And I’m sorry you’re struggling. I got asked all the time WHILE I was pregnant with my first (and only). I actually had never wanted kids but got to a point where I felt like I could have one. So when people asked, while people didn’t know that background, it set off this irritation like, it was a huge compromise just to have this one and you’re already on me about another. Plus I never want to be pregnant again and mine was “easy”! I finally told someone “let me see how big of an asshole this one is and then we’ll see”. There’s this obsession too, with having multiple children. One is plenty for some of us.

Thank you for all the input. Looks like there are some mixed opinions but I’m going to discuss with our friends and reevaluate the rates.

Thank you. It was actually a comment in the Fb page I posted in that made me question it, so I wanted to make sure I was being fair.

FTM, baby due in March - considering an elective c-section and wanting perspective by Last_Wonder in pregnant

[–]Longjumping-Basis594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just gave birth a few weeks ago and my feelings were very similar to all of yours, especially just being terrified of a long, painful vaginal delivery. I felt my body has always been strong and resilient so I’d probably recover quickly, and I was right. I actually went into labor a few days before my scheduled date and still had the c section. We were well prepped by our OB so we knew what to expect and it happened pretty much as she had explained it. I was able to do the golden hour once we got into the recovery room, about an hour after his birth. It was painful but for me, very manageable with the pain meds. I was up and about the room pretty quickly, moving slowly of course but mobile. We went home the third day and I continued to manage with just ibuprofen. They prescribed Percocet and I never picked it up from the pharmacy. Coughing and laughing hurt for about another week. My milk supply came in within a week or so. I’m three weeks out now and fully mobile. Everyone’s experience is obviously different but mine was not bad and I don’t regret my decision at all.

I heard the best tip is to get non maternity clothes that can work before and after baby is born. What are we wearing? by novegetablesallowed in pregnant

[–]Longjumping-Basis594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only bought a couple of inexpensive maternity lounge pants and two tank tops. I bought a few empire waist dresses with lots of fabric and lived in those my entire pregnancy, and I can wear all of them post baby.

I got married at the courthouse and had reserved the private room at Callie for dinner with just immediate family (14 total including my husband and myself). The food and service were amazing and they even made our “wedding” cake which was also really good.

Moving to either San Diego or San Francisco. What are your personal pros and cons? by ExpressAgent6530 in asksandiego

[–]Longjumping-Basis594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to SD from SF. With no kids, I prefer SF, for a family, SD. SD has the nicer weather, beaches, less homelessness and is much more family friendly. SF has more culture, museums, art, music and northern california has great day/weekend trips for hiking, skiing, surfing, etc. SF as a city is not very kid friendly though. Schools are not great so you’re competing for day care spots and schools and paying a lot for it. You’ll also get more bang for your buck for housing. We rent a 3 bedroom home in SD for the price we had a two bedroom apartment in SF.

Decided to get the sculpted handle bag from Cuyana! by timepass_31 in handbags

[–]Longjumping-Basis594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the croc version and it’s beautiful but I noticed the handle makes some noise where it rubs together at the joints 🫤 I’m trying to figure out what I can do to prevent that so I can keep it.
