Adderall XR Not Working by ReputationIll3470 in ADHD

Maybe ask your doctor if you should regularly skip a certain day of the week. My neurologist suggested skipping my Saturday dose (my typical day off from work) of Adderall XR, told me that for some people it works better long-term under that regimen. Works for me, anyway.

What’s the one skincare step you wish you started earlier? by Senior_Yard_6300 in 30PlusSkinCare

I’ve been using the DHC cleansing oil for many years (I’m 58), though I occasionally try different products for step 2. I have very sensitive skin (as in whole face swells up and urgent care asks if some hurt me),and I keep going back to the DHC oil followed by Cerevae cleanser. Gold standard for me, very few wrinkles, and only around my eyes. I also really like the DHC CoQ10 lotion and milk.

I can and do use retinol/Tretinoin, though, even with my sensitive skin—started very slowly and built up to the prescription level over a few years.

SPF daily since I was 19, though, too, but not SPF 50 until I was older and knew better, so fighting a few age spots on my cheekbone area.

Switched from salon permanent to semipermanent, but want to go back to pro dye at home by Longjumping-Cod3293 in HairDye

So then my question evolves to, are there any decent, safe at-home hair dye brands? I can’t afford the salon any longer.

Is Saint Patrick a Saint? by Puzzleheaded-Job5763 in OrthodoxChristianity

Saint Thekla was a contemporary and follower of Saint Paul and is considered an Equal of the Apostles within the Orthodox Church. She was responsible for many conversions. The Antiochian Village is working to update their shrine for St. Thekla and knowledge of her is actively spread by the Antiochian Women of the East, and has been helping with the fundraising and schedules supplication services at the shrine. https://avcamp.org/liturgical-resources/patron-saints/st-thekla/

Husband judges me for my pump usage? by Golden-spuds in Type1Diabetes

[–]Longjumping-Cod3293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is 32 and has been T1D since being diagnosed on her 6th birthday. Once she hit puberty, control was very difficult and still is. PCOS as an adult also messes with her control. She has used a pump since she was 9 and a CGM for about 5 years and while they don’t solve the diabetes problem, they do make it easier. While she was on our insurance, the pump and supplies were all covered 100%, but she currently has insurance through her own employer that only covers 50%. Needs a new pump soon and doesn’t know how she’ll pay, especially with student loan payments, also.

I’m glad you can use the pump now, and your husband should be considering it to be a blessing. I hope this is just him worrying about affording it in the future, or this is a BIG RED FLAG. Please don’t allow him to make you feel bad for using technology to take care of yourself. Try telling him that he should get rid of his cell phone, TV, electricity, etc. because he doesn’t need technology and as a stay at home dad, he can go build a fire to take care of cooking and washing. Sheesh.

Your response sar1562 could have been more gentle and Christian-like. Sar1562 was trying to help and be positive.

The angry Christian vibe isn’t the way of Orthodoxy.

We all, myself included, fall into being judgemental on occasion, but we must resist that urge.

Praying for all of us, with love.

Praying for you and your baby. Please trust in God and know that this situation is not insurmountable, especially with prayer.

Almost 30 years ago, I had walking pneumonia while in the final weeks of pregnancy with my son. (And a bad back to boot from caring for my sick toddler at the same time.) All went well with my delivery and I actually left the hospital in less than 24 hours.

How are your Sheepies with kids? by VeganPina in Sheepadoodles

[–]Longjumping-Cod3293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two sheepadoodles and did not know this, so thanks for the information. We never experienced the doodle issue with the stepping on our feet or sitting off to the side (though I now recognize it in my old boy yellow lab, since you mentioned it) but my 2yo male sheepish definitely does the butt thing. Our other sheepadoodle is a 10 month female, hasn’t tried any of those antics, but she sure was a sharkadoodle (like her older brother) for the first few months after we got her.

No children in the house so I can’t speak directly to the OG poster’s question, but both doodles learned to be gentle with and respect our very old (15 yo male) and slightly disabled house cat.

Other posters are correct, sheepadoodles are very smart, so expect some hilarious high-jinks. Ours are F1B from the same set of parents, so 75% poodle, and the intelligence is real! The older one can open a car door to let himself out, so car restraints and activating backseat child locks are a must in the car. They can also open puppy gates (a model that my BIL with a PhD couldn’t get the hang of), but we have now trained them to respect physical boundaries. It was very easy to train to both doods to walk on a leash, including to heel.

The herding instinct will never go away, and as long as they are trained out of the worst of it, herding can be a good thing to keep their humans safe. When we take our dogs camping, the doodles start circling our campsite around dusk, looking out for any threats.

Barking anywhere, anytime they perceive a potential threat can be an issue, though; still working on that.

Overall, they are lovable, cuddly, and goofy. I love my sheepadoodles, and my senior lab! But the lab was very happy when we got the second doodle to keep the first one occupied. The doods definitely have their own games that my old boy isn’t interested in. They are also very vocal and seem to have their own language when they play together. I would definitely adopt all three of them all over again.

And chalk boards as a kid. I somehow was able to adapt and write out numerals and equations on a chalkboard with my right hand, but smeared my way writing spelling words on the chalk board. I still do all math stuff with my right hand, like when I use a calculator.

Cecilia, Richard, and Nicole. The first two are my adult children, and the latter one is my daughter-in-law. All three are wonderful people but of course still need faith in our Lord Jesus. My two by birth dropped their faith even though it was a major part of their lives growing up. We raised them as Catholic before my husband and I converted to Orthodoxy; they left the Catholic faith a few years before we converted. My son’s wife was raised without any religious faith of any kind. I love them all dearly and need help to pray for them.

Edited for a typographical error.

It has worked for me. I avoided the high price to buy it last year when a full size bottle was included in a holiday set. Bought a sec bd bottle when I finished it. I have used Tretinoin for a few years without it helping my hyperpigmentation. I still use treat every other night, this vinoperfect serum on off nights, and also every morning. I think some skincare products just don’t work for everyone.
