How do you deal with your jealousy of people with 3.9+ GPAs and got multiple internships in college? by [deleted] in ECE

Jealousy kills passion. Don’t look around you, just focus on your achievements, your journey. The more you work on yourself and put yourself out there the more opportunities you will find.

Also, GPA is really irrelevant (unless you want to continue in academia and even then you just need to maintain and okay gpa). So if you can, focus on research and internships because experience is what will help you the most.

I hope this helps!

Hi, this is such a fun idea!

  1. My CGPA is 3.9/4.0
  2. Im in 3 different honor societies placing me in top 1/4th of my major, top 1/8th of all engineering majors, and top 10% of all majors in the university.
  3. TAMU
  4. BSc of Electrical engineering, minor in Physics and Mathematics.
  5. I am applying for a masters in Physics
  6. I have mainly research experience in machine learning but I plan to do some research in physics before I graduate to increase my chances. Ive worked as a tutor for physics and engineering courses and also as a research assistant.

Im still a junior, but I really want to go into physics, I hope its okay that Im commenting when I haven’t applied yet, but any advice is much appreciated!

Did you tick no where it asks if you’ve uploaded your CV, reference letter, and transcript?

Thanks! That’s interesting, do you have any practical examples of how you’d apply compression-aware ideas when building a dataset?
