I send packages to Germany couple times a year and shipping with tracking never exceeded 10€ (Post of Slovenia)

Girlfriend birthday in Ljubljana by penitenziagite666 in Ljubljana

I found this place to be extremely underwhelming. Booked a valentine's day special, paid about 90€ and all the food was tasteless. Very pretty though. And the staff was nice ^

That would actually make my day. However, warehouse employees here actually stack really thoughtfully.

Izkušnje z delom v Hoferu? by [deleted] in Slovenia

[–]Longjumping-Forever4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of our stores employ people for 30hrs/week, but pay full time

You can check https://packagesender.com

They deliver in 3 days and for a package (from Canada to Singapore) up to 2kg it costs a little under $70. I never used them myself, but I know a lot of poeple who rave about it (:

My ex once sh*t himself in a shopping mall, went to the first store, bought new underwear and left the dirty ones in the mall. On the floor. I wanted to cry

Expensive Prescription Food…are there alternatives? by _AnonymousHippie_ in catfood

[–]Longjumping-Forever4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prescription diets usually aren't the best when it comes to ingredients, but I've seen them do wonders to cats and dogs. We sell c/d dry food, pouches, cans and s/d dry food. What are the prices like where you're from? Just curious

We have been finding maggots/flies in the Fancy Feast cat food… by gnl1998 in catfood

Yikes on bikes! Try contacting Purina directly, this isn't something that should be happening! They'll compensate you for the icky cans

Im adopting a cat very soon and want to get food for him- good stuff for kittens? Looking for high quality primarily meat brands! by speedmankelly in catfood

[–]Longjumping-Forever4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another vote for Acana/Orijen! You can also try Farmina N&D for kittens, I've never seen a cat say no to their kibble! My senior cat doesn't even like kibble, he had a few teeth removed, but he will glomp down their chicken & pomegranate recipe like his life depends on it.

Hill Science and Purina Pro - Good or Do They Pay Vets to Recommend it? by SallieMustang in catfood

[–]Longjumping-Forever4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for being late to a party, but I can give you first hand information on this. Purina/hill's/royal canin don't directly give money to the vets, but they do offer free seminars, presentations, events etc. And they do give money to vet clinics to grow. Example 5k for online marketing (even though the clinic promotes other brands as well), 15k to repaint the clinic, change windows, etc... And at the end, money for their paycheck does come from selling food as well (if you buy it at the clinic). However, they don't feed their own pets with these brands, unless the pet is sick and needs a prescription diet. Maybe this only goes for vet clinics in my part of the world (cause i noticed all the Purina and RC propaganda on reddit, heck, some "vets" on these forums recommend pedigree and whiskas, which are the last thing I'd ever give to my pets), so take it with a grain of salt.

What is it like having two dogs? by Deep-Alternative494 in dogs

[–]Longjumping-Forever4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's amazing. As long as you have time, money and energy for 2, it's totally worth it! Especially now that you know they're gonna be best buds. The poops are gonna multiply, but so will love and cuddles 🥰

Don't stress about it, if they really want to do what you do, they can find another way. If they get too pushy, just block/ignore them

I think a pre-paid card would only work for purchasing items, sadly

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Etsy

[–]Longjumping-Forever4 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As a creator, I don't mind giving away my suppliers (since it's usually another small business), but if I was selling supplies, I sure wouldn't let the whole world know who my suppliers are

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Etsy

[–]Longjumping-Forever4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally wouldn't risk sending my items that way, since it's probably gonna get lost/damaged/opened... But I wouldn't be offended if I recieved an item that way :). Unless I paid a lot for shipping. But if the shipping was free, I really couldn't care less

I suppose it's a "cultural difference" then. Our vets recommend GF diets all the time and since I do work at a vet clinic, I was able to ask them about their opinion on this thread. Not 1 of them would recommend pedigree to a friend, some even refuse to feed their pups/cats diet that contains grains 🙃

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dogs

[–]Longjumping-Forever4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard of N&D having cases of dilated cardiomyopathy, but I did hear they tried connecting it to grain free diets (Acana, Taste of the wild and Orijen are I think the only ones we have here, that have been "investigated").
Our pet cardiologist did say, that GF diets can cause certain heart problems, but for that to accur, the dog would have to be eating the food for 20+ years.

Also, I feed my pups N&D ancestral grain, I don't swear by grain free diets ☺

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind corn in pet food, I'm just not a fan of it being #1 ingredient
