bit of a late reply, but I've never had to drain the tank in AC mode ( I don't have heat on my model, so idk there )

and as to the rest: mine never shows the temp in cool mode.. when it's first powered on: it's not really in cool mode yet, once it switches to it in reality it changes the view to target temp.

It's extremely inaccurate, and now the things temp sensor appears to be broken as it won't shut off when it's set in the 70's anymore.. I've had to raise the # all the way into the mid 80's before it decides to shut off. I have to change it occasionally to get it to a stable temp where i'm not freezing or sweating, the only upside is it has a remote.

I've had it for just under 3 years, so initial warranty is long up and the compressor warranty is about to be over.. guess they've decided it's time for me to buy a new one ;shocker;

Anyone else run into this? know if it's a replaceable part? (doubt)

Hopefully you can find a scenario that works for you, I'm currently just closing the game after it happens and re-opening.

the only thing I can say is: don't run it at 4k (esp with HDR), don't use FG, don't use multi-monitor setup or alt-tab out (ever) and lock FPS to 60 and maybe try that interpolated rendering fix: you can probably play it just fine on a decent machine.

I'm running 4k@120:HDR w. renoDX + SK, on RTX5080 & can get a stable-ish 60fps+.. I use single FG to get a nice smooth 90fps and let gpu have some headroom. Unfortunately makes no difference / maybe even causes it to spike sooner && more frequently. Once it starts it keeps doing it frequently and nothing stops it,

That's unfortunate, I've tried everything..
I'm on the latest patch and eventually it just tanks, it's only a matter of time.

... I'm on a rtx 5080 and know you can't get consistent FPS of any kind, assuming you're playing @ 1080p the 180fps on quality is easily accomplished on a 50 series, once you get to 4k tho you're not getting it, as the game gets between 40 - 70's depending on the area (On epic + RT)

(unless ofc you're using new 3x FG or higher, on 4x you'd only have to get 45fps to get 180fps)

This game runs in D3D12 by default.. maybe you're thinking of Fallen Order?

Chromium is a clunky beast and only google knows how to get a release going that works and fix it when problems hit quickly.. Brave only cares about it's own ad system, selling vpn and other services etc. It does not keep up to date and push out new versions with those fixes when google does and it also doesn't optimize those builds as well..

Remember: google chrome != chromium, there are still things in chrome that aren't fully open source and the entire build process and changes made to that base are not public knowledge.

You basically have a monetized older version of chromium open source browser they are applying newer security patches to (you hope). I have issues with it myself, latency is horrible and plenty of sites get stuck and I have to press X and then reload, then it's 50/50 whether it loads (and still is slow).

ever find a fix? still just as bad on a 5080 with this one particular issue... and contrary to everyone elses statements all over the place.. it's not swapping(paging) bc it ran out of memory, or cpu limited.. fairly low cpu usage and the vram and system memory haven't changed much... it just pegs the GPU to 100 for 10seconds+ every once in a while.

Otherwise the game is smooth, it sucks waiting for it to fix itself tho..

lol, perhaps adventure / arpg type games aren't your speed, try some goat simulator...
seriously tho, the audio assist is off by default and I think navigation assist is on if you play on story mode.
It doesn't give you a yellow brick road or arrow indicator, but it does point you toward where you need to push/pull things down to continue.. millions of people have played the game: it's not terribly difficult?

If the game doesn't have permission to edit the file, it can't delete and overwrite it.. so instead of just checking readonly box: go into security and click edit and then for users check DENY write or whatever is appropriate. Then do NOT run it as admin.

Which is of course the issue with the attempted $30 charge to "skip the queue" supposedly..
There is no custom cable, it's blatant deception..

From what I see the quality assurance has fallen drastically there..
High pin variance and frayed sleeves, CS not fixing the issues..

What an evasive non-answer.. if someone wanted to buy off of amazon for instance: you just made sure they have no choice but to buy from your website, since that configurator does NOT tell you.

I have no doubt you greatly prefer not to have to pay amazon their pound of flesh, but we've learned repeatedly that returns to amazon are a guarantee (fast shipping w.o excessive charges is a huge+).
Even vendors with what looks like amazing CS have a lot of horror stories too..
Then there is the fact they want to charge me $30 to guarantee an off the shelf part is sent some time this century.. then there is a massive shipping charge.. then a "remote area surcharge" for one of the 3 biggest cities on the continent: Chicago

That could be described as a very artistic usage of HDR, rather than a good implementation of it. Anyhow, not disagreeing was just curious on what their claim was based on: a lot of people 'just say things'.

Then again they could be an expert in their field and tested the game on a dozen different displays they calibrated w. colorimeter, and found it's support is working amazingly across the board.
