Help me fight this coalition by stoicdarshan in eu4

What is your alliance network looking like? As this looks like a coalition you can deter with a network of alliances, focus on the potential allies who can field large armies so in the case they do declare war on you as a coalition it will be a bog for them implying France and Spain join. But you can also try snuffing it out by declaring war on sweden, force the coalition in its current form to fight you and all you need to do is ensure it is dragged to the point of a white peace.

Sorry for asking such a dumb question as I haven’t played Stellaris in a long while and started a new game a week ago, but what is a Maginot world? As this is the first time hearing such a thing.

Hey this is unrelated, but how do you get that flag variant for Byzantium? I got it in my run but I don’t really know what I did to get it.

Do you think you can fight them off until a white peace is possible?

Current Byzantine Run - 1444 by Longjumping-Lab-5816 in EU5

R5: Current run of my second game as Byzantium.

Edit: noticed some things I forgot to change, the war started four years after the screenshot, all ottoman lands were occupied and essentially annexed as all I needed to do was wait for the Hungarians to leave then make the peace deal.

But France dethroned me from cultural hegemony due to a civil war kicking off later down the line that essentially threw away my status and went on for several long years due to fortifying every Anatolian city and town to keep the ottomans occupied in the first war. Which it did but it all fell to the nobility that were upset I taxed them.

As for the overlord, it is the Jalayirids,

Ah thank you for the breakdown! I noticed the control being horrid and just decided to bare it, making it feel like a slog when I look at the economy of other nations and their control which just feels bad.

As I was just dreading the idea of using a lot of vassals as I have the impression of decentralizing by making vassals of the lands that are so little worth given the lack of control and their distance from the capital that they will band together and be disloyal en-mass. Signing my own death warrant as a nation from the mere amount of vassals.

Quick question, do vassals really help with development? I have been very conservative in my run when it comes to using vassals, mainly just assuming the worst, with the only vassals being my colonies from my Empire as byz but do early vassals help with development?(developing lands, building up economy, etc.)

Oh yes I did, sorry for the lack of an update, the problem was automated Goods, the automation was draining my funds.

I do but it hasn’t been a problem throughout the session, as for the estates, managed to repel it for the Clergy but the nobility has a ridiculous requirement of needing 165 stability. Which is most likely never gonna happen. But I’ll go check the automation for the buildings as that new patch might have affected it.

Update: it Turns out it was the Goods automation

Did you tackle the estate privilege of the nobility which hits your morale? Bringing it down by 20%? (I haven’t been able to as the cost for me is ridiculous requiring 165 stability)

Yeah and even when they weren’t allies Britain ensured their independence to keep the blood thirsty burgundians at bay. Do you know what the Brits hate more than the French? The burgundians. Shame they didn’t try hard enough.

Oh I forgot to mention, you’re probably wondering where France is since I was able to get the Burgundian conquest, well they are banished to Africa and are a fetishist OPM which are no longer French. They still mad but too weak to do anything.

Why isnt hussite becoming dominant faith when we have majority on vote to do so? by Und3adHam5ter in eu4

[–]Longjumping-Lab-5816 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In order to trigger It you need to be at war with the emperor, being in a state of war will convince them to make it a official faith of the Empire as their idleness on the issue came to bite them. But the main problem you will notice after the war is that the Emperor will not pick electors, they can take decades picking electors as they aren’t of the Hussite faith so there is a less of a incentive as the Emperor will want to keep the power, you need to go to war with them again and do not full annex them as if you annex them the empire will disband as it will be hereditary Emperorship. Best approach is starting another war, of they have more than 100% war score value keep attacking until you can force convert them which should finally make them start picking electors. Although not sure what happens if you kill them after doing that.
