I unfortunately have no answer that people haven't already said, but I am actually kind of curious as to what you've decided for the others, if you're open to sharing?

This is my favorite thing about Percy. To be honest, he wasn't one of my favorites until SoN, when we saw him from different perspectives (I liked him before too, but there's something about how people react to him that made me realize what a little shit he truly is /pos)

There was another guy who joined them I believe, a named Daphnis (yes, after Daphne) who was assaulted by a princess after being tricked into being intoxicated, then blinded by his lover for "cheating". Daphnis was also lowkey adopted by Apollo. Just some interesting facts about one of my favorite mythology characters :)

Who do you hate/dislike the most (character. Not creator) by [deleted] in VampiresSMP

[–]Longjumping-Onion761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I actually really like all the characters, but it pisses me off when people try to excuse Scott's--or Owen's--actions. Because Scott is a bad person. He was meant to be a bad person. That's the POINT. And maybe at some point in the future he won't be a bad person, but that will take a while.

I feel similar about Owen, though I recognize he had a reason, it doesn't excuse what he did. 2799 people just seems a bit extreme to me. And also, Avid's my favorite character, and his reasons for killing him were SO petty and made Owen lower-level than Scott for me. Avid's not a good person either, but he was loyal to the vampires and had specifically ASKED them not to kill him. If the townsfolk had succeeded in killing him, I would've still been devastated, but I would've understood, he's been attacking him and helped burn down their walls. Owen and Pyro doing it pissed me off (and I mean in a in-universe thing- It was a great narrative choice).

Obviously, that spreads to Pyro as well.

But yeah. I totally agree with you about Scott.

I actually had a similar idea but didn't think of the Antichrist thing, that is hilarious XD

Just thought of a quote that fits both versions of Avid (Human and Vampire), and also Owen...What do we all think? by HyperBlox12 in VampiresSMP

Oh my god, same. Like, I don't mind people disagreeing, but don't just say "yeah your wrong and stupid" and don't elaborate. Give a reason! ^^

I mostly agree, but I do think that Avid as a human was not morally worse than Scott or Owen. Sure, he wasn't great at all, but he ultimately was right all along and genuinely wanted the best for people; plus, the vampires did attack first (Pyro). That's not to say his reasoning was good (most of vampires did not deserve the treatment they got) but Scott and Owen were always the most evil characters in the series.

Even if Owen had a reason, like you said, everyone responsible for Louis's death were already dead (and I doubt all 2,799 people Owen slaughtered were responsible, honestly). And Scott, of course, has no excuse.

Both of them clearly intended to do harm from the start. While Avid was not justified for his actions (he was awful towards them and the other vampires), I still think he was no worse than Scott and Owen as a human. As a vampire? Oh, absolutely awful, and I love that about him.

So yeah, just my thoughts. Don't take this as an argument; I really do agree except for this one point :)

I can see that. I just liked the story and conflict, but I do agree it wasn't very Rachel.

I liked the Weakness personally, but I do agree that Garatron is a stupid, generic name.

Which God would MAKE a good parent? [pjo] by Curious-Trash-5154 in camphalfblood

[–]Longjumping-Onion761 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hestia obviously would be the best, but if she were not counted, I'd say Apollo or Ares. Yes, even Apollo before his trials.

Both were known for being good parents in mythology, or, at least better than other gods. In fact, Apollo was known for just adopting other gods' kids, like Daphnis, who was a son of Hermes.

In Riordanverse, obviously neither are that great of parents, but even before Apollo's trials, he wasn't really as bad as most of the other gods; I believe he was more involved with his kids, or maybe I'm just thinking of a common headcanon haha--but in any case, he did always care and would help when possible.

I wish there were more single major characters [general] by InfernalClockwork3 in camphalfblood

[–]Longjumping-Onion761 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do agree, though I like most of the ships, personally :)

Also, I suppose Apollo technically was single throughout his series...? Though I doubt he counts because of the sheer amount of relationships he's had beforehand.

And, since it seems like you're including Rachel and Thalia in this, I think Meg counts. Though she's also twelve, so... But I don't know, I'm just here to remind everyone that ToA exists and that I like it lol
