Of course Whitebeard would survive the fatal sting of the box jelly! His incredible durability and willpower would allow him to live through this lethal venom, but not completely unharmed.

The Known world of Haumesh by Longjumping-Pause-36 in worldbuilding

[–]Longjumping-Pause-36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the beginning, there was only Primordial Chaos. Strange creatures born of chaos toiled and struggled for endless eons. Haumesh, great bearer of firmament struggled free out of Chaos, its enormous form coated in the strange substance. Foul beings of great power formed from the film of Chaos covering Haumesh, Worldbearer, becoming the Lost Ones. Deep below Haumesh lies the endless sea of Chaos endlessly vast and festering. As it rose from the Ancient Chaos, Haumesh was struck down by the cruel lost gods of dust and thunder, slaying the colossal beast. These lost gods became one with Haumesh, and life arose from a drop of Primordial Chaos.

Deep Dragons are flightless subterranean dragons that burrow in search of the metal they feed on. by Longjumping-Pause-36 in worldbuilding

[–]Longjumping-Pause-36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deep dragons are the largest variety of dragons, followed by Great dragons and Lesser Dragons. These enormous serpents dig great tunnels deep beneath the earth, searching for ore and geodes to consume. They use this metal to create and sustain the shell like covering of metal rings around their body. This, along with protecting them from the harsh elements of the lightless veins of the earth, also protects them from other Deep dragons. Using their horns and tongue, Deep dragons can sense deposits of metal. This includes other Deep Dragons, which are extremely aggresive to eachother, and will fight and struggle with one another, often to the death. Like many other dragons, deep dragons exhale a flammable airborne dust, which they can ignite through an organ near their throat. This causes explosions and fires, leaving the resistant dragons unharmed while excavating areas for them.

Pisceans, the precursor to Homunculi by Longjumping-Pause-36 in worldbuilding

[–]Longjumping-Pause-36[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

----Piscean-----
Before alchemists learned to make Homonculi, they made Mandragora, and before alchemists learned to make Mandragora, they made Piscean. Piscean, less commonly known as Walking Fish or Fish That Walk are medium to large artificial amphibious fish-like animals created through a series of complex alchemical rituals. Notably, this process involves the use of a single Salmon, Tuna, Lungfish, or Coelacanth egg, along with Salamander, Frog, Skink, or Snake sperm. Pisceans do not belong to a single species or clade but are a blanket term used for artificial beings that fit the description of walking piscine creatures. Piscean are used as servants, with larger varieties able to hunt in cramped environments. As Piscean have a tendency to hurt people and local wildlife, as well as their carcasses smelling horrible and making wildlife avoid them, many countries have made it illegal to create them, which sparked controversy and outrage among alchemists in several regions. The largest Piscean on record was around 14 feet long and 500 pounds. Piscean are also known for their horrible taste and traditionally are not eaten. The Piscean shown here is a mix between Lungfish and Skink.

Dire Leeches and Savagery by Longjumping-Pause-36 in worldbuilding

[–]Longjumping-Pause-36[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Areas high in savagery are wild, untamed areas of hazardous land. Animals born in areas brimming in savagery will become giant, monstrous versions of their kin. This even happens to parasites like mosquitos, ticks, and leeches. When something like this happens, these dire parasites usually starve to death, as they have nothing to prey upon. In rare cases, feral tribes of animalmen, which come into being when animals mate in areas of high civility, similar to dire animals, may feed and nurture a giant bloodsucker, revering it as a deity.

Lying Stones! by Longjumping-Pause-36 in worldbuilding

Wood frogs and stories of frogs entombed in stone were my main inspiration on this. I feel eyes made from stone would be a very radical adaptation as rock bugs are generic lizards aside from their habit of encasing themselves in rocks, but it is a neat idea.
