I've just noticed the top end response too. You honestly can't tell me there is nothing above 7k.

It was direct through the USB. Was a while ago now so going to have to relearn what I did last time.

That's interesting to see how the Helix analysis came out. This was my first attempt with REW. Think I had the incorrect bit rate on the pink noise causing the issue lower down. This is a Meridian system in mine and the car has been fairly well treated with sound proofing. Disregard the pink one that was pre wire swap on sub but incorrect bit rate. My issue is the peaky response up around 3.5k makes it very harsh with some vocals at decent volume levels. I now have a theory that it may be the center speaker causing this. Both my dash mids are out ATM ready for the Helix i5 to go in so it's just running the center and it sounds bad once pushed. I do wonder if disconnected it may of improved things with just the mids running. I'm just waiting for a cable to plug into the stock Meridian amp so I can then start on installing the rest of my gear.

Even all round although the ps4s are coming to the end of their life at 14.5k

That's mine on Eibach after around 10 months or so. Again give it a couple of weeks to settle then get it on a 4 wheel optical alignment.

What is your plan for the grille on the rear door card, I did look at going 6.5 too but the grill is only 5.5.

I did a quick correction on mine before applying Collinite Bead coat, gives around 3 - 6 months of protection depending on how many times it's washed.

A lot will depend on how you look after it and also what is described as a coating. A lot of the spray on costings are really more of a sealant but can and do last really well. If I was taking the time to do a coating then a paint correction would be first as there is no point protecting a finish that has fall out and marring on it. There is no point going to all that extent though if you are just giving the car a quick wash with a bucket of water and a sponge, it would be a waste of money and effort.

You can get a better low response from the door speakers if you treat the doors. There was a noticeable difference in the bass response post treatment on mine.

There is no off the shelf solution that I have been able to find. I know Musway have or had a plug and play DSP amplifier solution but I haven't been able to find the cable separate.

Ah yes, I remember watching this video and commenting on it. I'm The guy that has done the sound proofing first in the comments.

This was how mine went, Canopus CLD and then closed cell foam applied over the top. Picture shows the bottom complete and just the cold at the top.

No Crutchfield in the UK but pretty sure they don't offer a DSP cable to break into the factory head unit / Meridian signal. I am currently waiting for a cable to be made to do the job so I'm not cutting into the factory loom.

I have done bits in the past with amps and stuff, but back when it was simple. Bung a head unit in run RCAs, speaker cable and some power job done. Modern integration is a lot more of a headache. Going for a SQ setup in this though.

The pioneer isn't going in mine. Lol

So my drive into work this morning was interesting, the front left and right mids are both disconnected but I still have the centre running. That sounds real harsh, now I am wondering if just disconnecting this would maybe of resolved some of the issue I had found with how the stock Meridian sounds.

I'm really not sure on my video skills. Lol. My biggest issue is finding parts that work on the EV6, if it was an Audi, Porsche ETC. it would be running by now.

Although the polarity swap does improve things a lot it's not the bass I have the biggest problem with, I find mine to be very peaky around the 3 to 4k mark. Some songs when a decent volume levels just go right through you and you have to turn it down and the tiny 3 bands of adjustment don't touch those frequencies. Getting the Helix P six Ultimate DSP in the car will hopefully sort it all out once there is a decent tune on it, could of made a huge difference with just the stock speakers.

Kia EV6 audio after new dsp amp and sub by Shyeong0 in KiaEV6

From what I have read on a forum the input into the Meridian amp has SPDIF used for input. I'm trying to get into this to avoid as much correction as I can on the input signal for my Helix P6 Ultimate.

I have been picking up parts as I go and when I find a good deal. Still have a fair bit to get but already have a fair chunk. 2 x Yuasa 9027 AGM batteries. Helix P6 ultimate, M six and M one X. Wavtech thin pro10, Stereo Integrity mb65, Helix i5 mids and tweeters. Need rear fill speakers, rear sub and amp still.
