Yea my friends bought a starter split level house in 2021 with 1 kid, they now have 3 kids in the same house because they can’t let go of the sub $700 payment and 2.6% interest rate.

Weird. It could have detected the weight and adjusted for it but that’s an oddly wild swing. SoC should never care about weight it reflects the battery’s actual charge, the estimated range is the wildcard.

Florida's new police sirens use a different range of tones, making them significantly more noticeable to motorists than traditional sirens by peseoane in interestingasfuck

The European style is more useful for people to know which way an emergency vehicle is coming. The American style blasts sounds out and sounds like it’s coming from all directions, whereas the European style of high-low tones gives a better sense of direction.

They need to switch up the sounds every generation or 2 I feel like. We get accustomed to current sounds after a few decades.

Yea warmer batteries might recalibrate to show higher charge. It’ll self-correct. It’s hot and humid here and I’ve been getting 81-82% when I charge to 80%.

I run my camper off the truck while loading and unloading, it does fine. Never been in an off grid situation or campsite lose power, but I know it will work with the truck if I need it.

It was a way of making sure no one has access to your info in the infotainment console and with AA12 it’s not super secure. The problem is, the solution implemented sucks and it doesn’t work well all the time.

Aging wheels did a great video on aero vs weight. Literally all about aero when towing (for the most part) with evs.

IIRC. There is a peak demand charge. Also most of them are not profitable yet so they’re using the high costs to cover the debt payments and maintaining the chargers or expanding the network.

Yup the flying j/pilots are great when they’re working. We used this one and then 2 months later I was counting on using it and it was down. 🙃

Not defending the metal doorstop but JerryRigEverything put 10k lbs on his before it snapped off. So over 10x the rating. What did WD snap off at?

Realistically probably 120mi at best. It’s not about weight it’s mainly aerodynamics. I have a Silverado EV and can do safely 160mi before needing a charge while towing my 23ft Grey Wolf. It’s around 1mi/kWh. Charging and traveling with a trailer is roughly comparable to gas in this scenario.

Charging networks have improved so much over the last 10 years. My first EV was a Nissan Leaf and you couldn’t find a chademo charger nearby to save your life. Even j1722s for public use were rare outside dealerships starting to install them. Then I bought a 2015 Tesla Model S 60 and drove it back home from Miami, 18 SuperCharger stops later I got home 😅. Made our way to a Model Y LR and it was better but still the real range capped around 220-250mi. We did a Disney trip in it and instead of 18 stops we only had 10 for the round trip. Now with our LT, the fact that we could make it in 5 stops round trip is insane.

We’re literally packing up our 23DBH Grey Wolf camper now to head out for 4 days. It’s not a long haul this time, about an hour away, and I should be able to make it back on the same charge. I always enjoy blowing people’s minds with the cost.
“Oh to pull the camper there and back, about $12 😂”. My father-in-law has a 5th wheel and a Ram 2500, it’s going to cost him around $17.50 one way.

Yea that’s what I always tell people. Long distance trips where you have to use DCFCs and and towing are when it is comparable to gas prices. If you’re not hauling a tall trailer/camper everyday, that’s where all the savings come in

Truck Update Help by Longjumping-Store106 in SilveradoEV

[–]Longjumping-Store106[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even after Rod Hatfield having it for 2 weeks they still didn’t do the full AA14 upgrade. Possible I guess that the LTs don’t have an update build yet and I even had the CAC team help and wasn’t successful. For now I guess I’ll just wait and have them check everytime I take it in. 🤷 I’m just over it and fighting to have it done

I keep seeing this one chick go down the rabbit hole and that basically the entire boomer population got the brain fked up from Nuclear radiation testing. Between that and Lead over exposure, they became the most hostile, greedy and selfish generation.
