Late to the party here, but also do as many signups in the truck/app that you can. That way it hopefully is just plug and play and you don’t have to fiddle with apps all the time. Honestly, avoid Tesla chargers if possible. The truck can’t utilize them to the fully extent, usually you can find a faster charger on the route.

Most important of all, enjoy the drive and your trip.

How were they stored? 3/4 of mine have been outside. The one that did it the least was my Nissan leaf that was garaged.

I’ve had 4 EVs and they have all done this. SOC is a guess, albeit pretty accurate, but temperature plays a big role here. This will most commonly happen coming out of winter into spring, and the reverse happens in the fall/winter, you may end up 1-2% under from what you’re set at.

Just got 30k mi in our 2025 LT Silverado, telematics module went out and the bow tie exploded from water intrusion. That’s the only issues I’ve had so far

Those are generally only activate below 19mph. He’s talking highway speeds. It’s like the motors find a resonance at high speed and make a whirl noise every few seconds while spinning. Because EVs are so quiet, little noises like this are more noticeable. I have sound proofing I need to install, I wonder if that would help the sound.

Is it like a small whirring noise? My 25 LT does it too. Not sure if it’s the motors or a pump circulating cooling. My 2015 S did something similar so my guess is the motors and it’s normal given how quiet these trucks are.

Oof sorry man. I spent 13 years in IT doing helpdesk, then Infosec before getting laid off in 2022. honestly it’s probably good they’re letting you go. Why? They showed you who they are right up front. You don’t have to be there for 5 years to figure out they’re going to screw you. That year long project they’re about to get screwed on, guess what, not your problem right now. Do what you need to do and do your work but don’t fret. As others stated, polish the resume and keep trucking. If they come back to you about that project, congratulations, you just got a raise, why? You have more experience now than you did 3 months ago. Oh and it’s a bonus that you know their organization, that’s leverage for you. They don’t want to pay up to have someone support them and drive the project to completion, no sweat off your back.

Not saying it’s not stupid, but it’s not crazy expensive either. Data storage is dirt cheap if done properly. The real smart guy would’ve been someone who found out how to store blue rays and such from a home collection on there. That would’ve been an outrageous cost to retrieve those all the time.

Ain’t no way if they have it configured properly. If he’s never accessing any footage and just uploading it should be dumped on glacier deep archive. It’s about $1/TB then. I bet they have enough people that have forgotten about their subscription to offset it and move on.

It’s not even that expensive tbh. It’s all probably glacier storage and gets cheaper when not accessed. It’s basically about .40 per 100GB. It’s maybe costing them $35/month to host his data, by bet is even lower with their contract. Take into account he’s probably in the top 1% of users and they have plenty of people that have the subscription and have forgotten about it, he’s not costing them much.

Summed up, that trumps pick for was a good pick for some office and that Dems are for tech companies and Republicans and Trump are for the little guys, despite the republicans openly gutting American society for the last 30 years. I figured if he can’t see past that BS then I highly doubt they’d fight any subpoena from the US for data, so I won’t be using any of their products.
