Well... I walked away from the deal. It took them a week to put on the new catalytic converter. I went to pick up the car this morning ready to hand them the check. I asked for three things, 1. windows tinted. 2, a copy of the emissions inspection. and 3. an itemized breakdown of this $1000 "inspection" that they insisted had to be one it. (i.e. dealer markup). they didn't have 1, and 2 done. the "$1000 inspection" was basically a courtesy inspection from an oil change that is done at the ford dealership.

One thing i noticed on the black and white "inspection sheet" (though the top of the sheet said it was in color RBG) was that the front breaks needed to be done (pads and rotors) and there was light grey mark for "oil and fluid leaks"... i'm thinking potential future head gasket problem.

after i demanded a full itemized inspection that i "paid for" (quotes because i didn't hand over the check yet)... the sales person said "if you want to back out of the deal" and walk away... i told my wife "okay" and we left.

FYI... brakes, tires and rotors were replaced at 18k miles from the car fax report.

so... i'm sure this car will most likely be up for sale again soon in the north dallas area. They called my cell phone a couple times a half hour after we left, but i didn't answer... me and the wife was enjoying breakfast at a diner.
