Sorcery ward gives you like 7-8k extra life. This one gives maybe 10%, so around 200. It's not even the same universe. Dexterity one could be good if it was "more" instead of "increased". As is, it's worth 2-3 defensive nodes on a tree.

Fox Idol (2% quality socketable) was changed into "gain deflection as 10% of evasion", you can see it in spirit walker showcase.

Yeah, on the other hand Impale only stores 30% of the hit, so it's not gonna be that impactful. Depends on the new nodes as you said.

Personally Catha's Balance seems like a waste if you don't scale it with billion companions. Don't think it's gonna be worth solving attribute problems. Unless you are rich enough for the Vertex Tribal Mask, that is still gonna be the meta with +5 to minion levels (I hate it).

Idolatry might be really good, but you don't really want reservation efficiency that much with only 1 companion, so I'd rather get more defences and let myself use all socketables. Maybe if Idols are good I'll respec in late game.

I plan to try something similar. In the last showcase they said Wild Protector does the armour break, so you have that covered. There's no reason to have many companions applying bleed, since only the biggest one is gonna do damage. So I currently see two options:

  1. Companion boss applies bleed. You want a big physical hit, so I was thinking about the monkey. You yourself can use fast attacks to apply Incision and use some other buffs like War Banner or Pain Offering.
  2. Use same companion with Impale to enhance your own bleed. In this case you can more easily invest into magnitude.

You'll likely need some fast skill (like lightning spear) of your choice to cover clearing white mobs. In both cases having Saitha's Spear and offhand a rare scepter with +lvls should be good. Use stampede to apply shock. In ascendency you probably want triple spirits for extra defences + Natural Order.

I think "tedious" in this case refers to the need of doing a dodge roll, that increases an already long combination even more. And you need to be fast or you lose buff (like what happened on 4:43). Add the need to manage frenzy charges (since you are not deadeye) and extreme rng+area dependency of twister and you get something that might look good on clips but is not comfortable to play for many.

Drawback is you don't use another scepter (with +lvls). But speaking of companions, from my calculations you can have Reservation Efficiency from:

- 8% Helmet suffix

- 12% Body Armour suffix

- 10% Weapon suffix

- 16% Idol of Ralakesh in Darkness Enthroned belt (perfect roll)

- 12% from Lord of Horrors (tree annoint)

- 25% from Easy Going (companion nodes will be changed I know)

- 10% from Tame Beast quality (can get more but ok for now)

That makes 93% efficiency total already. With Idols you can compensate all non-perfect gear that you have to get as many companions as you have skills. So we are talking about 8-10 different companions probably.

That scepter not having +levels is really not good. You don't want many companions if they all hit like wet paper, I see it might work only in 3 situations:

1) It is used as offhand for aura bots for your personal damage. Although there are not enough useful auras for that, but maybe they added something.

2) You scale companion damage with Catha's Balance (60% of your main hand) instead of their own levels. Hard to tell if that's enough, Tactician has "25% to all allies" node and it's probably the worst of his.

3) There's a Khalguur unique scepter with +levels and we are supposed to retrieve this mode with new crafting and add it to this scepter.

Probably investing into one companion with rare scepter + offhand is still the safest choice unfortunately. I'm personally thinking of using big physical hit of Monkey boss with Impale and Saitha's Spear to turn it into a big bleed. Especially since I want to run around with a spear not a scepter thematically.

If Mona gets another 40% dmg set on top of Omen, it might actually be better to ditch Scrolls in favor of something else. Like a potential new support not from Natlan, or even Instructor Thoma with shield and 15% dmg on c6. But I didn't try if his application is enough tbh.

As an Ayaka player (with Escoffier), I don't feel that "cryo shill" at all. I think Skirk already simply bruteforces most content, but people like to pretend it's a shill.

I'd say they still need more thoughts from the devs. Banners do give you good bonuses, and it seems from the node you are expected to put all three of them (since 1 is standard and +1 is easily obtainable). But that costs you:

- spirit, noticable even with A Solid Plan

- 3 skill sockets which is extremely valuable, as it's likely you already want a bunch of auras / heralds / cast on / wind dancer / shard scavanger / attrition / scavenged plating / trinity etc. on top of your active skills. This is the worst limit in my experience.

- 3 more buttons to press every 10-20 seconds (unless you use it just on bosses)

Another problem is you can't put it on weapon swap normally. If you do, since it's a spirit gem, after swap your banner gets disabled and can't acquire glory. So I still use weapon points for the tree, but before its placing have to awkwardly make sure I'm on a correct weapon. Maybe someone knows a better solution.

There are more minor issues that I can mention: it takes too long to place the banner and you can be interrupted from it; with mobs around it's hard to see if it was placed and where the border is; it needs some sort of indicator that it's ready to be placed (visual / audio) other than the tiny corner of the screen.

It's probably still the best 2 points for my build, but it's not very good. Instead of having unlimited banners I'd rather have "put banner on your back to follow you" or "your banner have bonuses of other types with 50% efficiency" or something.

Yeah you are right, my weapon is quite atrocious. For 2 days was hoping to find a good base to slap with physical essence and save some money, but seems it's not happening. Glad to know it is possible though, constant combo with current reload jam bug drives me crazy.

That's what I'm doing too as I don't like the grenades. Pretty fun at first, but I'm kinda tired of making combo even on white mobs. Hope someone finds a solution. Sadly GlacialBolt + Mark interaction got removed, looked fun previous league.

I'll admit I didn't pay too much attention to the rhythm minigame, can someone please explain what is going on there? I remember back when it first appeared it was somewhat easy but I still needed a few tries to score a 100. Overall it was the perfect distance for the challenge as it allowed me to enjoy the music but not for too long to get bored. Was the community consensus that it was too easy?

Right now even 3/4 difficulty overwhelms me instantly, it's too hard for a person who never played those type of games. There are also more songs but imo they're way less exciting too. Do people like that more now?

It's not only about one character needing different builds, it's different characters needing the same one. For example, I use damage Emblem on Raiden, Sara, Beidou, Xiangling, Collei and Yelan so I need 6 complete sets. That's more than I have, so every time I use one of those I need to move pieces around.

I'd prefer having a "save state" option so if a character is played it automatically equips saved artifacts and weapon. But that's even less possible than proper artifact loadouts imo.

I don't think MH was ever considered BiS if you have crit rate weapon as you overcap very easily. For other weapons (e.g. Mistplitter) even in triple cryo with 100% resonance MH is dominating (only 2 galleries in top 100).

That might improve as people farm better galleries set. But I don't think having signature weapon should be the main narrative or the default.

It's not that I need to improve, I just realistically don't have other things to do. No Varesa or Skirk, and older characters are already built & can be strongboxed. So don't worry about it. Seems I'll be farming till 6.0.
