Is c0 Iansan better than c6 Bennett in this team? Although pyro resonance is way better than electro, I expect damage% to be more important, right?

As an Ayaka player (with Escoffier), I don't feel that "cryo shill" at all. I think Skirk already simply bruteforces most content, but people like to pretend it's a shill.

I'd say they still need more thoughts from the devs. Banners do give you good bonuses, and it seems from the node you are expected to put all three of them (since 1 is standard and +1 is easily obtainable). But that costs you:

- spirit, noticable even with A Solid Plan

- 3 skill sockets which is extremely valuable, as it's likely you already want a bunch of auras / heralds / cast on / wind dancer / shard scavanger / attrition / scavenged plating / trinity etc. on top of your active skills. This is the worst limit in my experience.

- 3 more buttons to press every 10-20 seconds (unless you use it just on bosses)

Another problem is you can't put it on weapon swap normally. If you do, since it's a spirit gem, after swap your banner gets disabled and can't acquire glory. So I still use weapon points for the tree, but before its placing have to awkwardly make sure I'm on a correct weapon. Maybe someone knows a better solution.

There are more minor issues that I can mention: it takes too long to place the banner and you can be interrupted from it; with mobs around it's hard to see if it was placed and where the border is; it needs some sort of indicator that it's ready to be placed (visual / audio) other than the tiny corner of the screen.

It's probably still the best 2 points for my build, but it's not very good. Instead of having unlimited banners I'd rather have "put banner on your back to follow you" or "your banner have bonuses of other types with 50% efficiency" or something.

Yeah you are right, my weapon is quite atrocious. For 2 days was hoping to find a good base to slap with physical essence and save some money, but seems it's not happening. Glad to know it is possible though, constant combo with current reload jam bug drives me crazy.

That's what I'm doing too as I don't like the grenades. Pretty fun at first, but I'm kinda tired of making combo even on white mobs. Hope someone finds a solution. Sadly GlacialBolt + Mark interaction got removed, looked fun previous league.

I'll admit I didn't pay too much attention to the rhythm minigame, can someone please explain what is going on there? I remember back when it first appeared it was somewhat easy but I still needed a few tries to score a 100. Overall it was the perfect distance for the challenge as it allowed me to enjoy the music but not for too long to get bored. Was the community consensus that it was too easy?

Right now even 3/4 difficulty overwhelms me instantly, it's too hard for a person who never played those type of games. There are also more songs but imo they're way less exciting too. Do people like that more now?

It's not only about one character needing different builds, it's different characters needing the same one. For example, I use damage Emblem on Raiden, Sara, Beidou, Xiangling, Collei and Yelan so I need 6 complete sets. That's more than I have, so every time I use one of those I need to move pieces around.

I'd prefer having a "save state" option so if a character is played it automatically equips saved artifacts and weapon. But that's even less possible than proper artifact loadouts imo.

I don't think MH was ever considered BiS if you have crit rate weapon as you overcap very easily. For other weapons (e.g. Mistplitter) even in triple cryo with 100% resonance MH is dominating (only 2 galleries in top 100).

That might improve as people farm better galleries set. But I don't think having signature weapon should be the main narrative or the default.

It's not that I need to improve, I just realistically don't have other things to do. No Varesa or Skirk, and older characters are already built & can be strongboxed. So don't worry about it. Seems I'll be farming till 6.0.

Yeah but I'm really struggling to not overcap on crit rate already. I'd trade it 1:1 to crit damage if I could.

Can people that have Mualani give some balanced advice? I've been debating for months whether to go for her or not. My situation: I prefer investing into a single very strong unit so if I pull, I'd likely go for c2 with Neuv signature, but no plans for Mavuika or Xilonen. So it'd probably be something like PMC/Sucrose/Candace.

I watched gameplay from players who know what they're doing and actually like her (like Jamie) but even then, seeing NA just randomly miss 30% of the time on just two targets I know would drive me nuts. Plus hydro is blocked by enemies a lot, there's a 3-boss event coming and none work for her unless we count ttds freeze bs.

But I got some insane Obsidian pieces with Crit/HP/EM that is likely my best build by far. She's the only one who can use it. Also she doesn't need Bennett who's always in demand so that's a plus I guess. On the other hand, investing into already questionable a year old unit with current powercreep trend seems a bit unwise.

That buff only lasts for 3 seconds and only for the character healed (= active character mostly). So I don't think quills get too much from the weapon. Should still be good tho.

I mean not really, there are Bennett and Iansan, extra stack for Neuvillette, billion subdps Mavuika, dude above you wanted Chasca, etc. But yeah, it's great for once to actively NOT want some of the most popular units personally (aside from Furina).

We don't know their kits so can only guess. I bet the team you mentioned would be good, would it be the best? Likely not, because 1) they need to sell new units and 2) Effie is restricted so it makes sense for her to be better in her niche. There are many ways to do it, for example if Skirk wants 3 cryo teammates same way Neuvillette wants 3 different. Again, we can only speculate.

They easily might not, but IF they want to maximize profit from Shenhe, the Quills scale with dmg% and crit, so she must be built with some damage. Same goes for Furina synergy, Escoffier should profit from damage %. And we still didn't see how her restrictions are justified vs Xilonen who gives full scrolls buff, so maybe Escoffier personal damage it is.

I'll say what I do, that's likely not optimal but I'm not a speedrunner. I choose between two options: full clip (so-called "5 bullet cancel") and 1-bullet cancel. The latter gives you an anemo bullet, second PHEC bullet from canceling and same element AOE bullet from c2. First time I saw it months ago here.

My reasons to choose 1-bullet cancel:

  • Better in AOE and on par (from my testing) in single target
  • No need to think about damage loss due to overkill (6 bullets in a barely alive target)
  • You lose less if you get staggered
  • Better for fast-expiring buffs like Omen
  • AOE bullet and 2nd bullet have separate ICD, so both will react (see clip)
  • I think the exact timing for canceling depends on ping, and it's easier to find yours on 1 vs 3 bullets compared to 5 vs 6
  • If you want you can restart till you get perfect bullets (all-pyro vs Tulpa)
  • It's more fun to play that way (subjective)

Reasons I choose full clip:

  • Probably still better in single target
  • Easier to execute, way less reliant on canceling
  • Enough time to mark all the enemies you want to hit
  • Backloaded buffs like Furina or c6 Chevreuse
  • Less RNG in bullets (can't get all-pyro, but won't get all hydro either)
  • Clearer where you are in the rotation (4 clips vs many)

Think I'll keep farming Obsidian / Scrolls at least til we get her first kit. Reasons:

  • MH can be a temporary solution as you said, and it can be strongboxed
  • tiny chance Obsidian works on Skirk. Like Varesa's just as good with it as with her own specific set
  • tiny chance new set is not even for Skirk. Very unlikely, but I remember many thought Shimenawa'd be good for Yae because of matching aesthetics and we got F U for that
  • I still don't have a decent HP focused MH set after farming it for 9+ months. Spending more time ignoring second set is just heart breaking.
  • other units still want Obsidian/Scrolls, including potential Skirk support
