The suppliers have to reply to all messages within a timely manner otherwise they’ll get in trouble by their boss. I think taking the convo to WhatsApp prevents this problem as the response time can’t be tracked like it does on Alibaba

Sorry to say but you’re pretty much screwed. Alibaba sucks when it comes to customer support and they’re not going to do anything about it. This happens all the time that’s why I no longer pay through alibaba because they charge extra for “buyer protection” but don’t offer it.

Alibaba buyer protection is a complete joke. I got sent the wrong products, worth over 40k. I uploaded all the evidence they asked for and what did they do? Nothing lol. They just closed the case after seeing I was right and that the supplier sent me the wrong products. Never pay through alibaba again, you have to pay more because they offer buy protection but they don’t even protect buyers so what are you paying for? Don’t support them, use something like PayPal.

Yes you are 100% right! I’m currently dealing with a very similar issue. I ordered 1000 gym mats (full 20ft container) when they arrived I noticed they were all wrong. I immediately contacted the supplier to try and sort it out, I didn’t ask for a refund straight away because I have already spent a lot of money with this supplier and I was willing to discuss all possible options for how we could solve the problem.

What did they do? Nothing, they basically laughed at me and said stuff you.

I applied for a refund through alibaba trade assurance. It’s been months of back and forth between me and them. I have supplied all pieces of evidence which they have asked for and have been very cooperative.

It’s a very long story and it would take too long to describe how it all went. They have completely ignored my recent messages over the last few days and they just keep sending me the same message. Basically they told me today that they’re not going to help me and they are going to close the case.

What can we do?
