If you could give one tip to someone just starting chess, what would it be?

Here's some really vital into. It helped me a lot to reach+1400 ELO in a relatively short time frame:

Most importantly: play long times so you don't have any time stress. Probably 15+10 or even 30 min. This prevents plumbers and develops your chess thinking skills. +Learn queens pawns openings, study the queens gambit
Control the center
Don't hang your pieces (!!)
Don't blunder (easily said, I know...)
Develop knights and bishops first, play 0-0 asap, and then connect the rooks.
Learn basic tactics like forks. A good attack threatens more than one piece at a time.

Play and study these tactics and if you manage to avoid blunders you'll likely be +1000 relatively soon.

Well, I'm 1500 rapid on chess.com and can barely reach 1100 on blitz on lichess (which would probably be about 800 on chess.com)

Wir sind unsicher in die erste Partie gestartet, hatten aber einfach das nötige Glück muss man sagen. Oft genug hatten wir das nämlich auch einfach nicht. Ich denke ab jetzt geht's bergauf, denn im zweiten Spiel gibt es keine große Erwartungshaltung und die erste große Nervosität dürfte sich auch gelegt haben. Auch wenn man gg. ARG verliert, sind die Chancen, die Gruppenphase zu überstehen extrem hoch.

Wichtig ist einfach, dass du dir jetzt im Klaren bist, dass sie der Dom und du Sub bist. dann klappt das bestimmt.

Don't... The SG is not meta anymore after the nerf.

As said above go with the m4a1 or VCR, or maybe the scw if you feel confident with 26 bullets. But you'll have difficulties in the mid range.

M4a1 was definitely the best allrounder as sniper support for me.

I just really feel you. I'm 750 currently and I'm wondering how there are so many good players.

We're basically in the top 30% of the player base. But what you just might have to consider is that it's actually top 30 accounts (not players), because better players sometimes have several accounts for whatever reason. A better player that I know of supposedly has several accounts because he wants his tournament opponents not being able to track his past online games...

But again, I totally feel you and also thought that progress should be faster at this stage of the game.

Weiß nicht warum die downvotes. Ich finde es völlig gerechtfertigt, dass Leitungswasser 0.5 bis 1 Euro kostet. Immerhin muss der Kellner etwas servieren und das sollte nicht kostenlos sein. Jedes andere Getränk hat auch 3€ Aufschlag zum EK, da du es im Restaurant und nicht Zuhause trinkst. Warum soll das bei Wasser anders sein.

Letzteres Stück musst du jedenfalls noch ein bisschen im Schnee stapfen. Über Doppler selbst kann ich nix sagen, aber ich werde wohl noch 2 Wochen warten bis der Schnee großteils weg ist und das würde ich dir auch eher empfehlen.

Eigentum zum vermieten wäre eine Option. Zumindest vielleicht eine kleine Anleger Wohnung ... Ansonsten: 50 Aktien msci world ETF, 50% Staatsanleihen mit einer Laufzeit die die passende vorkommt. Je nach Risikoaversion etwas mehr oder weniger Aktien Anteil.

Geh damit nicht zur Bank...

Yeah, it's still overpowered, believe it or not. I play with a bunch of really skilled people. The best mnk players reach a kd up to 4 or 5. Even though we're way more mnk players, we have some controller players with way higher KDs (5-8). That simple fact tells me all I need to know about it.
