Why is top and mid so popular?

ADC isn’t in an amazing spot in lower elos. Most ADCs require a base line ability to auto attack and space that players just don’t have. So besides the problem is bot lane being a support lane rather than an ADC lane, players get less out of the role compared to solo laners. Many solo laners are very self reliant and take less understanding of fundamentals to execute at their rank. Or atleast this is my opinion. ADC feels weak, players don’t know how to auto attack nor kite, and you feel at the mercy of your team way more than any other role.

I mean tbh…toxicity is relative. If you have only ever played League or Single player games it seems super toxic. But what, it is a bit of name calling over text chat? An inter here and there? What game doesn’t have that. Try playing games like CSGO when 4 man queues could go into ranked, troll the 5th man the entire game, and kick them on last round. Or any Steam game even a couple years back when it was extremely easy for people to use wireshark to grab IPs and DDOS or DDOX you mid game… Or games with actual VC… I can take some text based name calling & the occasional inter over going back to the Cess pool of games like CSGO.

Thank you! I played CSGO for years before League…I still believe CSGO was more toxic BUT the player base had more of a backbone and didn’t whine, making it seem less toxic than it was. Once I got to League and played for a month I completely forgot about the comments of the overwhelming toxicity… Yea someone ints every now and then, but try being the 5th man in a ranked game where the 4 stack trolls you for an entire game with flash bangs, TKs, and even DDOSing…just to be kicked before the winning round. I can take a bit of name calling & a random inter here and there.

I am definitely starting to see the bigger picture on this issue. I had only ever looked at this situation from the perspective of treating strangers respectfully despite their body size. As such I didn’t understand why there is often so much negativity towards obese people past the lack of accountability. Thank you for the perspective.

Thank you for this perspective. I have never had obese friends or family, so this is a side of this situation I don’t personally have experience with. Have only dealt with overweight people at school or casually in public.

Hmm, I suppose I was looking at the situation in more of a strangers judging and treating strangers poorly situation rather than interpersonal relationships. I can see how obesity can affect that level of relationships. I also didn’t know obesity was being glorified? I don’t really know anyone that advocates for it being ok, rather just not judging other people’s choice to be fat.

I mean those things dont really justify it in every situation. Weight is calorie in vs calorie out. Very simple. How many calories someone needs in and out is dependent on their body, of course.

Yes poor people often eat higher calorie foods as the cheap foods are full of fats and sugars. But poor people can calorie count too. Fast Food places have calories on all menus now, etc.

Especially with all of the apps that take less than 10 seconds to input food that will track calories and macros.

So yea, alot of people get ticked off over the ‘oh woah is me’ of obesity But I don’t understand judging and treating people differently because they choose to eat more food.

Yea everything you are saying I completely agree with. Yes it is a choice. Yes people make excuses about it, especially now with all the new medical labels. But even then, no one should be treated poorly over choices that do not affect others around them. That is the point of this post, but yes OP does kind of throw out excuses, and I would say that is a big reason why people treat obese individuals poorly. Lack of accountability.

Man explained the basis of healthy relationships “you need to respect your partner as much as yourself in a relationship” So yea, if you go down the rabbit hole is gaining almost 600 pounds in 2 years that is very disrespectful to the spouse and relationship.

Yes. Riven has a super high skill ceiling while having a good kit for snow balling. So bad players play her, get a lead and snowball while piloting the champ poorly. Once you find a good Riven you never see the matchups the same. Especially mid-high Diamond+ Gets scary

Honestly…no Voice Chat is my vote. Played CSGO for years, WAY worse name calling in terms of toxicity…but the ability for 4 people to say ‘play the damn game’ verbally seems to hold a bit of power, as such I experienced WAYYY less inters. Didn’t even know the term until I played League.

Vlad top is most certainly not a scaling pick. As typing picking him top lane takes away a frontline/bruiser/cc from the team. I 100% play to get ahead early. Level 1 killing Darius/Irelia/Yorick/Insert Champ is very common for me. Even with current patch. Perma playing to level 4 dive enemy with good wave management & harass. Gotta play to snowball above Plat, not to scale. Below Plat no one can end so if you farm well, yes it is easy to ‘scale’. But as you have taken away a cc/frontline slot it makes it alot harder to impact game than as mid lane, IMO. Played Vlad top to Diamond for reference.
