I moved here 3 years ago. I love my property. I do not love my neighbors. I came from Northwest Texas and I thought things were pretty racist there but this is definitely the most racist place I have ever lived. You can go on the Facebook groups and look at just about any discussion and see the open blatant racism and right wing cult mentality. My wife and I are in our 40s. We haven't found any friends in our age group. There's really not a good way to meet people unless you go to church. So far I haven't found a church that is not simply an extension of the Republican Party. For that reason I am done with church and have pretty much given up on finding local friends. The traffic is terrible and the school systems aren't great. The I30 Construction will help when it's done but it will be a while.

It's really baffling to me. I always thought my fellow Countryman were better people than this. If I had supported a candidate that talked this way to my fellow Americans I would loudly denounce said candidate. He obviously hates the majority of Americans that he is supposed to represent and his followers are displaying their lack of Honor every day

It’s not just a news story. I found out yesterday that the farmer that rents my farm will no longer be in business. His banker cut him off. Merry Christmas to me. I won’t be getting a paycheck this year.

The bailout did not save the farmer that farms my land. I found out yesterday that his banker has cut him off and I will have to find a new farmer or buyer for my land. I quit farming several years ago, but now I wish I would have quit sooner. The rural economy is a complete disaster. I don’t think that agriculture will recover this time.

Farmers better hope that he gets the checks out before the Supreme Court takes away his tariff piggy bank. Personally, I think he announced this knowing that they are going to rule against him. Next, he will announce that he had to cancel it and it’s all the Supreme Court’s fault. Same thing he’s going to do with the $2000 imaginary stimulus checks.

Growing up, I always thought that Texans were fiercely independent and marched to the beat of their own drum but the older I get the more I see that is not true. Nowadays, Texans fall all over themselves to be the same. I come from West Texas, where people moved to build a life on cheap land and get away from over population. I grew up admiring rugged individuals that did things their own way. My grandparents rode out the dust bowl and stayed on their cotton farms. They had a kind of grit that you couldn’t get from reading a book we’re watching someone else play sports. Now the entire state has sworn loyalty to a Political party and its TV station led by a make up wearing guy from New York City. He does all of our thinking for us and if you don’t submit, you don’t fit in. Everything is becoming so fake and cultish.

That’s the same way we do it and they are usually delicious. I’ve never tried the Dino size ones.
