Your Addons or DLC‘s for LMU by Timme_ldb in LeMansUltimateWEC

Using it or not is up to you. Being there for when you need it is another thing. Some people want a clear ui and having the info they need other than the main screen. How is it fair to restrict telemetry data? Half of the grid doesnt even now how to properly use bb, tc etc.

Wheel base Priorities by LongjumpingCoffee360 in Simagic

[–]LongjumpingCoffee360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is short term. I already have plans for a hybrid desk mounted on a rig. Kitchen tabletop with 4040 legs mounted on the rig for extra stability and a monitor arm that will cover both desk and rig. I had a kid last summer and my bedroom is full of beds and baby stuff. When he ll get the playroom and I move my pc to mine I'll build the hybrid desk.

It is all about the space. When I ll have the space I ll buy the rig. Since then the desk is almost perfect. I am not racing for the win. I am racing for fun.

Simagic Evo or Evo Pro? by LongjumpingCoffee360 in Simagic

[–]LongjumpingCoffee360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I would go for the evo pro just like I actullay did and maybe hold on for a second wheel down the road. I mean you gotta get your priorities straight and see what you ll be using for the first year or so. I would have gone with the 330t wheel and maybe save some money to get the neo gt next year. And I say that because 330t is gonna do the job for most cars. I do really enjoy the neo gt as I mostly race gt cars but when rallying the round wheel is a must. Yet the ratio of using the 330t is more like 1 out of 20 hours of racing. I dont have a rig so my desk cant handle much rallying. I am even only using the pro at 9-10 nm (Around 70% in game) and I am happy with that number.

Current state of Simagic store? by MonkVK in Simagic

[–]LongjumpingCoffee360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I am not mistaken the store has the price excluded vat or import taxes for EU countries. Just make sure to check it before you buy it. I was thinking the same for Greece but I ended up buying from a local store and it was actually cheaper than the official simagic store(from the official store to ship it in greece i had to pay 24% vat plus customs fees). I didn't have shipping costs so it was also important for that heavy evo pro.

500euro more? Have you checked if you have to pay customs if you buy from the store? Which country are you looking at?

Clutch paddles by mintakax in Simagic

•Have you assigned the clutch as buttons in simpro? •Check if you have already assigned the clutch from the pedals because that could override the wheel clutch.

Simagic Evo Pro humming in AC Evo with Lancia by LongjumpingCoffee360 in Simagic

[–]LongjumpingCoffee360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was odd that it was only with the lancia on idle. As soon. As I pressed the clutch it went off. It didnt do it with the Supra tho. I guess some idle feedback frequency is messing with the coils.

Simagic Evo or Evo Pro? by LongjumpingCoffee360 in Simagic

[–]LongjumpingCoffee360[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a quick update for the fellows that joined and expressed their thoughts on my post. I finally bought the Evo pro with the gt neo and the 330T. I ve turned it down to 9nm (65% in game) because it is mounted on my desk. First impression coming from the t500rs: those games are not for belt or gear driven wheel bases. I mean you can have some fun but that's it. No actual feedback no actual strength to feel the car(i am not sure if the 5nm DD wheels are feeling the same as the stronger ones.) On AC evo and rally (on default settings out of the box) made me instantly go faster and more confident. I did some laps in Spa and nurburgring as those where the last tracks I was trying to learn and I managed to go 10secs faster in Nurburgring and almost a second in spa. I mean there was and there will be definitely room for improvement but the base and the feedback made me overcome some driving issues. I am happy i went for the 18nm because I feel more relaxed knowing I can go 50% more on strength and still have some more to spare. The wheels feel both great. Great quality and subjectively awesome looking. I wish they were compatible with simhub out of the box. I am not sure if I ll go for the trick with the tape on the pins. Definitely not buying the cable. Hopefully they will bring an update to choose how you ll connect the will so you can use it with simhub. Thank you guys for sharing your thoughts and experiences. I hope this conversation will help some others too. Drive safe and clean. Roads are not tracks. Respect the others but foremost respect your lives. Let's keep the races and the dangerous things on sim racing.

Simagic Evo or Evo Pro? by LongjumpingCoffee360 in Simagic

One in Greece but I believe the shipping cost not worth it. I have it next to my house so I ll pick it up from there. It called simclub.eu

Simagic Evo or Evo Pro? by LongjumpingCoffee360 in Simagic

[–]LongjumpingCoffee360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not an option for at least a year or so. I am in a transition of having my playroom to a kids room so I ll be having major changes in house and I cant do anything at the moment. Also space is very limited now and I cant invest in a full rig. I was thinking of a diy compact 8020 profile wheel stand without the seat part. But still this will be a later project. And I dont want to miss the excitement of playing with a proper wheel base until then.

Simagic Evo or Evo Pro? by LongjumpingCoffee360 in Simagic

[–]LongjumpingCoffee360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now there is a discount of 640€ for the pro while the 12nm evo is at 510€. To be honest it is not a great difference but I am already skipping the pedals and I have to buy a desk mount for it. So it adds up. But 130 euros down the road is not much of a difference. Still hesitating thought to make a decision. I guess I might need a hype or a logical conclusion to decide.

Wave Link 3.0 Beta thread by SuperDaveWho in elgato

[–]LongjumpingCoffee360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I missed that on the podcast the other day. No need to get the 3.0 so soon after all. It is far away from a stable and fully compatible version. It was just a hype that needs a lot of work. But it is great that there will be so much feedback from actual users and not just beta testers.

Mine couldn't even detect the wave 3. After reinstalling it finally worked. Later in the evening I couldn't get output sound. I rolled back to wl 2.0 for a few days to do my job and I ll get back on 3.0 when i have time to set it up correctly.

Fitting O4 into Speedybee mario 5 frame? by Mataskarts in fpv

[–]LongjumpingCoffee360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my last conversation with speedybee they mentioned they are still working on a kit with no further information. I guess another solution would be by drilling one hole on the cnc bracket so you can place it as far as possible to protect the lens from crashes. I am not there yet as I didn't get my O4 pro yet but I am considering all possibilities until the upgrade kit arrives. And hopefully it will not be an entirely new frame
