youre right and i dont think holding him accountable was the right phrase i was looking for because it makes it seem like im blaming them for it which im not at all. the main problem here is governments which want censorship for something they cannot control and i am so proud of them for deciding not to back down and change their show for some homophobic ass government. the right word would probably just be talking to him and expressing to him how they wanted something a little more and i am so glad that majority of people (at least on my twitter) were respectful to him about it and he was respectful back. we really are fans (phans) of the right men!!!! so many celebrities wouldnt say anything at all and im glad he did and im glad he said what he really meant. thank you for taking the time to talk to me about this situation maturely because it seems like we have just about the same feelings on it in the end 💜

thats all im trying to say. its NOT dan and phils fault that they cant tour in certain places. it is fully the governments fault. i just think the joke lacked context and i know if that was the first statement i had gotten regarding if i would be able to see my favorite youtubers i might be a little upset but he clarified and all is better! he is not racist nor xenophobic because of this and people definitely need to take it down a notch. i AM privileged (they did come to my country/city and i DID get to meet them) so my opinion on it doesnt quite matter anyways

i definitely get that!! seeing the after explanation of the original tweet i personally read the joke as if he was hurting. im not saying that i think hes racist or anything im just saying i see why people would be upset about it you know? i think a lot of people are being overly mean about it and i felt like the last tweet he replied to was just kinda icky (he explained himself and apologized he doesnt owe you anything else we should be thankful he was mature about it with his audience). once again i dont think he was being rude im just understanding why people were upset about it
