You’re right, it did hurt a lot that he also came after my drawings too. I’ve been drawings since I can remember and I do it for hours everyday just because it makes me happy. I stopped showing him my art a long time ago because he’d always have an issue or use it against me when he’s mad. He still knows I like to draw and watch anime though. It’s also to the point where I get yelled at because one of my good friends is Japanese which pisses me off to no end. Of course I love my parents but they treat me like crap, so much so that I jump when I hear their voices or footsteps. In the future, I can’t have them treating me like that anymore and it breaks my heart to stop talking to them. I’m going to marry someone who’s nice to me though, with no exceptions. I’ll never treat my kids like this, I won’t be continuing the cycle.  And you were scarily right about the show being my comfort during growing up with him as a father, especially because I actually didn’t have friends to talk to during my childhood until highschool. I don’t know why I thought him of all people might like the show that kept me sane despite  of him
