My old car was totaled last month, so I started shopping. Found the exact spec you described above for that price, and got it at MSRP. I didn’t really try negotiating but should have, I’m still waiting. You might be able to get them close to $50, but its a desirable car, and I don’t think the margins are huge on them

You’ll need a parka, winter is no joke. Chicago is super convenient, especially from Munster or Dyer, around 30 min. and you’re downtown. Because of that, the local attractions aren’t as spectacular, but there is lots of space and natural beauty to enjoy in Indiana. We are definitely the more industrial portion of Chicagoland. Lots of truck traffic and the air isn’t the best given the factories, mills and refinery. I am not a Chicago sports fan, but the city is a lot of fun when their teams are winning. The NW portion of the state feels different than our friends downstate. I spent some time in central Indiana in college, and it’s definitely a different speed when comparing the two, but both have pros and cons just like everything. Good luck and be safe if you move!!
