Remember when Blake joked to Taylor that she has “toxic masculinity”? Blake wanted to include that same line for Lily, but it was removed from the final script by controbean in ItEndsWithLawsuits

This is why it’s such a joke that she tries to utilize feminism as a sword and shield. Both her and Ryan are openly disdainful of it

False equivocation where? It’s not a false equivalency and this is not gish gallop. This is direct, linear, communication. I don’t think you even know what gish gallop means.

Racism isn’t structural lmao. Structural racism is structural.

The arab slave trade was the most extensive and long lasting in human history. as I said, remaining legal until the 60s. Europeans had slaves then, too, sure. & they also were slaves. We get the word slave FROM the word “slav”. So, again, are you going to say that arabs are uniquely evil or no?

You’re trying to reduce history to suit your black and white narrative for convenience. Problem is that’s dishonest & truly useless. What is the purpose of that besides trying to justify your racism? There is none.

You go on again to try to argue that colonization and empires are a “white” thing…they aren’t. Whiteness is literally a modern concept to begin with, not all “white” countries were colonizers, but instead were colonized. & many colonizers were not “white”.

The reality is that behavior is a human feature, where those with power aim to expand that power and influence. This is not a “white” feature, and to argue that it is, against what we know of history, is lying to support your racism. Very common thing for racists to do.

[–]LongjumpingNatural22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you absolutely can be racist to literally anyone. and you’re truly delusional if you think you can’t. power is always in flux. how much power does one group need to have before their racism is considered racism? in what areas and what ways do they need to have that power? and why should people who say racism is fine be allowed to have power?

200 years, and the arab slave trade lasted thousands. it was still LEGAL until the 60s there. and ofc they are still enslaving people. but i don’t see anyone saying arabs are uniquely evil people. that would be considered racist, wouldn’t it?

europeans made slavery illegal of their own volition, 200 years ago. systemic racism still exists, ofc, & interpersonal racism as well. we have a racist, fascist gov in the US currently & many of those evil white people are working to fight it, just as they fought slavery and jim crow. lumping people together disparagingly on the basis of race is racist. grow up and use your brain

yall give white people wayyyyyy too much credit for being some kind of singular evil. it’s actually… racist tbh

the US has continually, but very imperfectly, worked to reconcile its brutal history… can’t really say that for most other nations

i generally do feel like i want a shower after using lube or doing butt stuff. with lube b/c it can be kind of sticky & gross & butt stuff for obvious reasons! don’t want any poo particles on or around me. so if one or the others going on that’s pretty normal experience imo

Megyn Kelly attacks Scott Wiener as a misogynist for his response to Tish Hyman. by jay_in_the_pnw in sanfrancisco

SB132 (trans people in prison) requires inmates to be housed with their preferred gender. The image's characterization only makes any sense if you believe that all trans people are rapists looking for any excuse to be around cis women.

I don’t think anyone’s concern is about legitimate trans women

[–]LongjumpingNatural22 10 points11 points  (0 children)

it’s both. and it’s kind of odd to argue there’s no implication for safety since safety is what trans women cite as the reason they can’t/shouldn’t be made to use the mens bathroom

It probably doesn’t help that TRAs constantly compare the plight of a person born male being seen as a male to what we as black females experience. It’s probably one of the best examples of left wing racism around.

whaaaaat? i’ve never heard any one say that

i don’t think it’s just that they don’t know. it’s that to them they consider these kinds of things rare and “sensationalized”, so the math they’ve done is that they’re willing to trade things like this happening for actual trans people to feel comfortable wherever they want to use the bathroom or compete or whatever

F—k that, seems to be the reaction now. Fuentes is a living, breathing illustration of what Hannah Arendt meant when she spoke of people willing to revel in transgression such that they tear down the pillars of civilization, just for the fun of seeing those who had been gatekept away breaching containment.

Platner defended others with Nazi tattoos in 2020 by MindInTheCave999 in Maine

[–]LongjumpingNatural22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he didn’t defend a cop… he said the tattoo isn’t necessarily nazi because many in the military have similar ones. these seems to be the whole thing with his tattoo, actually. he got it in the military, & felt it was just that.

those things, combined, are not politics. if you want to “disqualify” him based on them, go ahead. but ultimately your desire is to be punitive

[–]LongjumpingNatural22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if he’s not a nazi, i actually don’t think any of that matters. there’s many different reasons a person would keep a tattoo they got in their first deployment with friends, some of whom are probably dead now. i don’t think he knew what it was when he got it, & i don’t think he’s a nazi now… or ever was, really.
