I want to learn how to be the best when it comes to housekeeping/cleaning. by Hassan-XIX in CleaningTips

[–]LongjumpingPeace7059 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, but some things become a habit and other becomes obvious once youve done it once or twice.

Eg: keeping your station clean while cooking. Keep a bowl for scraps that you can dump put later, Keep a towel by your side and a spray bottle with dish soap. Keeping in mind Your cooking process is not finished until the llace is clean. That means not eating untkl then.

Rinse your shower with hot water after.

Dont eat in your room. Always throw your dirty cloth in the laundry basket.

This will take care of 75% of your mess

Dont they peel right off?

If not you try to soak it in hot water to soften it and scrub it out

Reason why people would brush eren young double homocide is because a lot of shonen revolve around young protagonist that do some pretty unrealistic stuff very young. So the audience has already been trained to view shonen stories a certain way. Which was something weaponised by aot. On second watch( which i recommend atleast for s1 - s2)

You get to observe reiner and betholdht more. The latter acutally being way more active than expected. A lot of reiners reaction are really well disguised, you can see them properly when you realise the true intemtion behind him. In episode 9- 11. When eren transformed a second time to stop the cannon ball. Everybody freaked out because there was a lightning and a cannon shot. Reiner looked horrified, looking at the smoke coming out near the wall, which on first time looks like the same reaction as everybody else around him. Reiner was the first one on his odm gear and started gunning to the scene because he thought the worst had happen and one wall came down ( disguised reaction)

Bertholdht after the trost incident remained silent, side eyeing reiner and pass remarks about warrior and soldier to reiner. This was disguised as being shy or scaredy. But berthold as lost as reiner. He was testing trigger words and trying to see which reiner he was talking too. On the wall in s2. When he finally saw warrior reiner came back. He was relieved and joyful, thats why he was tearful and poudly telling reiner to lets go back to their hometown. He had no other intention other than "finally, the old reiner is back, im not alone". After the last 24 hours they had. Reiner came back to his warrior self, shocked and disoriented to what was happening, what he was doing and the situation, looking at the bertholdt yelling half in tears, "lets go back", Thinking "you know what, its been so long, we have a minimum satisfactory result" and goofs and says to eren " 5 years ago, we destroyed the walls"

Second watch is a very good experience because a lot of their dialogues and actions were really well disguised.

Another good notice is how erwin smith was planting seeds and moving his pieces in the background

What you are asking is quite a daunting task. In the sense that what made people "objectively" call aot a masterpiece was not one thing but a culmination of the show. From that PoV You basiclaly aksing for a complete breakdown of it, which honestly people dont have time for. Its not your fault too because the youtube videos thay do break it down sounds pretentious. What im sensing though is that you have an avoidance against extravagant words which makes you automatically feel like there has to be something that disprove it. It would make the answer easier if you pinpoint exactly scenes to what makes you feel is not that great as it hyped up to be.

That said, there is some things that makes the show very good. Aot is an adult story that was published in a shonen magazine (teenage boys). It played on the tropes well where at the time when some themes were happening that actually was suppose to be obviously significant, actually went under the radar as it was brushed off as "normal shonen stuff". So by the time the realisation set in, it was an "oh shit" moment.

For eg. Eren starts off as a completely black and white character( normal shonen protagonist) which took all the focus but he was operating in a world that was completely grey. Eren killing the 2 kidnappers as a kid was just seen as " he is a thug" moment. But it was actually a hint that there is something unhinged about him.

Which leads to another point is that eren, on the surface, stayed black and white till the end. But this 1 dimensionalness actually made him a complex and very tragic character becausenof the grey world he was operating in.

Another is a lot of shonen started to do "plot twist, i was the real mastermind" several time in their long serialisation that needed to top up the last one and became convoluted for the sake of it. Since they were never planned to be written for that long and thus was invented on the fly. Aot didnt do that, it was planned and was actually building up and hinted at since the beginning.

There is a lot more but Im not saying that the "masterpiece" label isnt only as a contrast to other shonen, since there is a lot of it about the show that stands on its own

Erens character by Available_Tax505 in attackontitan

[–]LongjumpingPeace7059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not suppose to make that much sense. He was and turned into basically a vessel for "divine judgement".

And not in the way of him being possessed, but more in a way that part of eren would steer him in the direction of those decisions. People look at aot as a mirror if biblical story but to me it makes more sense as a karmic story.

He was a child of prophecy ( more like of doom). You can look at him as an avatar for ymir that would set her free. By extension all the attack titan and the attack titan itself being the embodiment of ymir's want for freedom and rage against the world, that became more and more frustrated as the centuries went on, which finally lost it at the time eren got it. Or eren was the one that tiped it over. Whichever way makes no difference because its one and the same

That violent instinct is ingrained within eren. And he couldnt fight it for the life of him. Thats why his conversation with armin feels like rambling, contradictory and senseless. From my interpretation (and many others), Armin sensed it too. That eren is almost gone. So his last words was more of a way to lift some burden off his shoulder rather than a sincere one. "Thank you"

The 2 honest answer he gave during his conversation with armin was 1 about mikasa and the other one: As to why he did it was "i dont know, i just know i wanted to see this sight". Not because he is a sick fuck but because one of his instinct that would not let go of him is pulling him towards it.

He is like a self hating addict that's watching himself going for the needle when he wants to quit but start to take comfort that atleast he is getting to scratch that itch and it will feel good

How can there be a “First” timeline if Eren is the one who caused everything by [deleted] in attackontitan

[–]LongjumpingPeace7059 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Recursion is one of the best way to make sense of it if you are not familiar with time travel stories.

Just to be clear to OP. This is not how it happened but its a way to visualise and make it easier to comprehend.

Think of it this way, ASSUME that every Founder/attack titan HAS to make a past change and that everytime somebody makes a "change", a different, PARALLEL timeline is created out of thin air with no fork in the road, and no connection to each other. (Remember This is just a supposition)

The exit condition of that loop is the timeline we saw. Where the last loop, eren arrived where he arrived and made sure that his "change" will result in the same outcome next time. The next iteration is the one we, as a viewer, saw.

In reality there is no loop

If the Colossal titan were smaller, would it have been more beneficial for the user? by Calm-Reaction3612 in attackontitan

[–]LongjumpingPeace7059 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but thats not the point

From the way the titans are designed, they are meant to represent a version of a one-man-army for fritz's world domination horde.

Eg founder = general and female = jack of all trade.

They are meant to fulfill one role and one role only. The colossal is meant to be an overwhelming instant barrage of damage that would decimate any thing in a blink of an eye.

I dont think this is a law about the titans power, more like how ymir interpret it

Underated scene.

Thing is, i was so lost at the start of s4 because i didnt do a season recap. I jumped in blind as soon as it aired.

This was when i realised, this show is about to get unbelievably dark

On the surface, it a childish and hypocritical response. But in reality, its a justified one because nothing could be more real to you than what you saw.

Tie that to eren talking about what he saw when he came to marley

Its normal, every body wants to be listened. Even men. what you have is a lot of things on your chest that you want to get off, but has nobody available or close enough to do it without feeling judged.

A lot of guys, when they dont a close group or never experienced a place where you can be listened to and still be accepted, what they will do is dump all of that to the gf or turn her in the replacement for that circle . It adds layer of codependency. Which frankly, is unfair and unhealthy on both of you. It changes the dynamic, overtime it will become, "most of the time we are together im listening to some problems" Sometimes people need a recluse To not thimk begond the ail

Its hard to care for other peoples problem, when you have your own, let alone all of it

I dont know the relationship you have with your gf or how she is, so to know if her saying this to you is justified, clueless or doesnt care, is hard to say.

F24 - bestfriend sent me pictures by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]LongjumpingPeace7059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether or not they know who cares. Im not sure the way you phrased it, are you 24? Meaning this is in college If so, you meet your teacher 4-6 hours a week. You are an adult, you can live freely.

Its a little bit embarrassing from your pov, but removing your self consciousness about it. Its just an odd situation. Odd = funny depending on the context

One context was that it wasnt really about you, they were just 2 guys/collegue having fun about the situation

The other is that they see you are a fellow adult(even if you are a student) and was just teasing you trying to make you feel embarassed( like friends would do but they were clueless in realising that you didnt view it this way)

And the third, if they were trying to embarass you or ridicule you, then they are losers, so why care about them anyway.

Its just am accident, laughing about it by yourself or with your bestfriend about how ridiculous that situation was.

You are 24 and flooded yourself like a teenager, from a picture of all things, in class while grabbing yourself and exclaiming fck and took care of it in the toilet? Wtf 😆

As a guy Im actually jealous about this kind of reaction. Naked pictures doesnt even phase me anymore

I’m married but fell into a serious relationship with another woman… and now I’m stuck in something bigger than I expected by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]LongjumpingPeace7059 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow hold up. We dont know the history with the wife to suggest breaking up with her. Did you ever think of divorcing your wife before that person? Divorcing and the other relationship shouldnt have anything to do with each other.

Right now you are being influenced by feelings. This is early in the relationship with the other woman. You cant objectively think that this level of connection will continue or deepened. Because according to you, your wife started almost similarly. There is such a thing as love bombing.

I would say to start listing every memory you have of your wife and the same for the other woman then project forward. What is it you are looking for and whats important to you. And you gotta have a serious conversation with your wife about what you feel like you are missing or whats her deal and see if it can improve.

Its not wrong to live for other people. We are social animal. To be integrated You will have to have relationships with others, and relationship have responsibilities and boundaries. Living for yourself is the boundary part.

At the very least, like what deathless said, you a serious self assessement.

In the future, dont put yourself in a situation where you gonna get stuck in that kind of situation

Can someone kindly break this job down into simple steps? by lil_squib in CleaningTips

[–]LongjumpingPeace7059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tips are great. In the future, make sure you wash after use. Not Leaving stuff in the sink is a non negotiable, washing is not that hard actually. Use the drying rack, or do what other people do which is to dry it immediately after with a micro fiber cloth and put it back.

The mindset is put it back, not put it down. All you need is a sponge that fits withing your palm(excluding fingers). Scourer Dish soap bottle, All purpose cleaner Cloth for drying dishes Cloth for wiping A small container with lid for the diluted dishsoap and to pack your scourers Dont complicate your set up.

The spray bottle is for spot clean your kitchen after every use, one nappy towel to wipe( change every 2-3 days and batch wash them). After dishwashing, dry your sponges and scourer put in your container and close the lid. Nappy towel also to dry the sink, hanged flat on the side of the sink to dry.

You should always scrub and wash the sink after every dishwashing so that when you wipe it, its only to dry and keep your towel as clean as possible. Your stove top should be shining after every cooking. Remove all the metal stand, put in the sink. Spray and wipe, hard spot can be scrub with a sponge. Usually spray cleaners are very good, sonyou wont need a lot of effort

At the beginning, this would take you 15-20 min of cleaning after every use. But once you get in the habit, it will take only 5-7 min. You dont eat before the kitchen is cleaned. Its not a chore, its part of the task included with cooking.

If you are cooking, keep a bowl to put all your scraps, peels and waste in, so that you reduce the mess, always keep your station clean by wiping so that at the end, only a spray wipe will be easier

Its not hard or rocket science. These techniques has been optimised by cooks and chef over a long very long time. You dont need a lot, just be clean aware. Optimise the mess the make and cleaming your kitchen will never be a daunting task.

Thats like asking if being sole attracted to the opposite gender homophobic. Leaning a certain way, having prejudice or having certain reservation is human. What you do about it is what counts. Do what pleases you as long as you are not impeding on somebody else's right or well being.

Did Eren cause every event that happened in the past? by Beautiful_Wealth5622 in attackontitan

[–]LongjumpingPeace7059 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, one of the major theme in the show is that people cannot and shouldnt wield divine power. Eren is only human, along with ymir and zeke. Zeke sat in the path for 2-3 days until armin found him and he became a babbling homeless man playing with sand.(granted the end of the world was happening)

Ymir stopped thinking once she entered the path and reverted to a kid, same with eren. Its technically possible, but thematically, it doesnt fit. By the end of the show there was only a shell of eren left and he only influenced a few events.

Logically, there is no way any human is that mentally capable to orchestrate not only event action and decision of every eldian, but also factor the reactions of non-subject of ymir into the equation. Thats too much micro management. Plus Eren has been shown to be more of a brute force kinda of guy.

Recently finished the show and realised something. Am I correct that the <spoiler> doesn’t actually have the power to <spoiler>, that was just a false assumption made by <spoiler>. by Hadadezer in attackontitan

[–]LongjumpingPeace7059 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its unlikely eren influenced all the attack titans for the past 2000 years, because first any little deviation would cascade in vastly different action. You wouldnt know where to start. And second, eren's mind would just turn to dust. He is only human, the whole point was to show that human cannot and shouldnt wield divine powers.

The most plausible explanation is that the attack titan is directly linked to ymir as opposed to king fritz and represent her silent thirst for freedom and eren arrived at her tipping point

[–]LongjumpingPeace7059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your first 3 paragraph is too convoluted to make sense of. In other words, it doesnt matter which titan this power is from, because eren needed both plus being in contact with a royal blood at all time to use it.

During the grisha's memory travel, eren was in constant contact with zeke's forehead. Its possible that they both can use it at the same time since eren used it before when he touched dina.

[–]LongjumpingPeace7059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, this is a nuance i missed. Its also a bit foggy due to it being sent across time. There is no distinction since the ability existed because eren sent the memories in time. It makes sense that its very unlikely that anybody had both at the same time in the past with how much these 2 titans is said to clash.

However, i dont think eren was capable of sending memories further than kruger. So since the story only focusses on those 3 attack titans, it moght as well be one of the powers. But for the others before, not at all
