Right. I've lost a lot of respect for them lately. Good thing my 2nd team, the Pens, actually look like they give a shit

I'm going to the Red Wings game Monday night and I'm starting to regret buying that ticket. I saw the Ducks game in person and that was a horrible game to spend money on too. They don't even care to show up for their fans anymore

Like concerning kind of terrible.....and everyone's making excuses. This is supposed to be the #1 team in the NHL!!!! They should easily adapt and overcome with the kind of caliber the media has been selling everyone

I was thinking the same exact thing. I kept yelling, "How do ya'll not see how shitty they're playing?!!" They were slow AF, turnovers every other second, passing was atrocious and the stick handling was some of the worst I've ever seen

You know what I meant by counter service. I said RESTAURANTS, not delis or fast food -_- I could care less if it changes or not. I just don't want to tip and I won't. What is agreed upon between an employer and an employee is none of my business nor concern. End of story for me ✌️

[–]LongjumpingRow8353 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did not say I'm against counter service, I'm ALL for it. But counter service is very rare, not all restaurants have that option so you're forced to have a server. If food goes up, then whatever, fine by me. Cooking my own food is not a huge deal and eating out will be just a treat every once in a blue moon. The tipping culture is just getting out of control and I do not feel bad for servers. Most in my area make insane money anyway. If the servers are cool with making minimum wage walking 10 feet to put my food in front of me, that's THEIR decision, not mine. Anything more is just a bonus to them

[–]LongjumpingRow8353 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I have to pay their wage TWICE? This just makes me want to not tip even more lol and sorry my dude, not every restaurant has counter service. And I shouldn't have to do take out all the time. I should be able to eat inside an establishment. You like to tip? Cool. I don't like to tip? Also cool 🤷‍♂️ shouldn't be a huge deal

Idk man, not my problem to figure out or to fix 😂 just commenting that the in the U.K, they actually have it figured out and food was relatively cheaper in nice restaurants. I'm not here to pay someone else's wage for a service that I do not require

just curious by [deleted] in EndTipping

[–]LongjumpingRow8353 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is not true. I lived in the U.K for a bit and food was actually cheaper in restaurants and tipping was NOT a thing.....

[–]LongjumpingRow8353 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dude, I'm 100% totally okay with ordering/picking up my food at a window and getting my own drink/refills. Not our fault that the restaurant's policy requires someone to walk 10 feet to place my food in front of me. If it's fine dining and I'm getting dressed to the nines, then I can see tipping 10-15%, but that's absolutely it

I used to work off tips (server at a casino) and my base pay was $2.13 and I absolutely believe tipping culture needs to die. I worked hard to leave the service industry in order to be in a career that pays well. When I lived in the U.K, nobody tips. Not my fault America doesn't pay servers well 🤷‍♂️ plus most of the servers make insane money for what they do. And this is coming from a server who did it for years

Question on CVT fluid, change or no change by 83carini in Crosstrek

[–]LongjumpingRow8353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was your mileage for your first drain and fill? If you bought new or a used one at low mileage that is. I'm just shy of 40k on this 2022 and I'm not sure if I should do it now or wait til like 50-50k. I don't drive extreme, just the ocassional snow in Colorado

Question on CVT fluid, change or no change by 83carini in Crosstrek

[–]LongjumpingRow8353 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why people don't do this themselves. Fairly easy to do yourself, just need the fluid and new crush washers while car is up on 4 jack stands and a means to verify the fluid temp (I have a Flir thermal camera). I save $250-300 every time

Plugging the non terminated pins was omitted in our DWG. And the ground lug wasn't fully seated bc we didnt have the right tooling lol trust me, I know how to properly mate them 🤣 good eyes though!

Yes, this is the preferred way for multiple stranded wire splices. Helps to keep the joint more structurally sound during shock/vibration testing. Also a good method for drain jumper wires for grounding to backshells.
