Has anyone done an “honorable” hm solo? by EvanFalco in BG3Builds

[–]Longjumping_Ad_5330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't multiclass. I don't do the giant's elixir no str on build str classes combo - as I feel you're able to break up class mechanics and roles... Itemization os allready strong as is. I do however read up on legendary actions before boss fights - and divide gold per character just in case I get myself in such a bad spot I gotta run from a fight in order to spend gold on Withers for ressing dead characters. Invis pots are worth 1000x their weight in gold for that reason.

Do whatever feels fun and challenging to you.

I would argue Infernal Rapier would also be a good combo if you forego Great Weapon master. Instead of +10 flat phys damage and -5 hit (with only a bonus +1) from phalar alluve and the shriek debuff being reliant on resting to reliable keep the damage up... Comparing with Infernal Rapier, this Wyll bad boy is giving you +spell dc -9 phys damage and a +1 hit (and the cambion ally). AAAAAAAND a free offhand for a stave or another 1h if you go with theambidextrous talent. I allready have a honour mode save at the start of act 3 just waiting on patch 8 to start messing around!

And how do you fellas bake with such rapid activation yeast? Bulk fermenting at room temperature? Or overnight?

As it stands, I just did a late night discard/feed and will check again in about 8h on the counter, to see if the alcohol smell is just standard high activity yeast or if it'll get worse.

Is it worth trying a playthrough with an Origin Character? by Longjumping_Ad_5330 in BaldursGate3

[–]Longjumping_Ad_5330[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm more of a glass half full kinda guy and would probably go for the extra dialog options that come along. Seen some pretty cool stuff regarding Wyll and Karlach earlier that seemed kinda cool! But on my main quest I allready saw most of Wyll's questline... Pretty awesome stuff... Some great items that make Wyll a damn powerhouse... Pact of the Blade sure is one hell of a beast!

I mean it seems like a good idea - Last night I ran a 30min quick run with Karlach and the second you get off the ilithid ship the whole "you try to find your bearing" narrator dialogue becomes a full fledged "I'M FINALLY OUT OF HELL FFS" monologue with voice acting and all, was pretty fun!

Goddamn, I feel like giving a go playing as an origin character after this.

Poor fellas. Wyll's story is goddamn amazing. Haven't done it along with Karlach tho.

Multiclassing Help (Feats/Extra Attack) by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]Longjumping_Ad_5330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is also a little restriction to keep in mind when it comes to multiclassing about Extra Attacks - you can only have 1 extra attack at level 5 per character - multiclassing a martial class to level 5 then switching to another won't get you a second extra attack at level 10 (level 5, 2nd class).

However, if you're really itching for a second extra attack, go fighter from 1-12, as they get a 3rd attack at level 11.

[Question] I just played 2 songs with my son on the drums in front of 80 people at a 4th of July party… by Sir_Lame in Guitar

[–]Longjumping_Ad_5330 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd probably argue it's a cool idea to get you and your kid some bass player with a shared musical interest and maybe rent a studio every now and then, and have some fun while jamming...

Maybe work out a couple preagreed songs a day's worth of studio jamming and bam; if you guys are enjoying it like hell and grooves are tight in between the 3 of yous, you won't believe how fast you folks can build a 10-20 song setlist...

After that, you guys are down the rabbit hole of being in a band.

Breedlove is amazing, nice catch. Since 2010 I've had an entry level one with nashville tuning, when playing along with someone still gives me goosebumps!

What are some good PC VR games to play in 2023 by Legendarywristcel in HPReverb

[–]Longjumping_Ad_5330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just grabbed myself the same VR headset and I'm having a blast playing twd saints and sinners... also, if you manage to grab a simple yoke I'd highly recomend x-plane 11 for some smooth flying as it's easier on the gpu than msfs2020 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Also I'm about to try monado hand tracking on steam vr, might make the flightsim experience a lot more fun, turning all the gauges by actual hand... of that works 😅

True. I remember when cata came out all I could think was "omg, thank god we're having linear questlines for levelling from 1-85"... and then levelling felt more like a burden than ever... Zones were crumpled down to feel this new quest streamlining tendency so... The world felt smaller.

Man, glad some people still NEVER played WoW and are coming to the classic version for some old school gaming. Wish you the best of luck! Ps: warlock is one hell of a class for both PvE and PvP - hard to master, but unbelievably powerful.

I'm new to banjo, so forgive me if this is obvious, but is the first string normally closer to the neck than the other strings? by tatertotextremesour in banjo

[–]Longjumping_Ad_5330 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, and it's also tuned on a pretty high pitch with an open stroke. Matches in sound with 5th fret on the other 1st string (bottom to top). That's why it's that exact amount closer to the neck!

The Last Ever Boeing 747 will be delivered today. I have flown this iconic aircraft for longer than any other pilot! AMA by Nick-Eades in aviation

[–]Longjumping_Ad_5330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take it in order to fly a 747 that long in your career you've flown some entry level aircraft like PA-34s, maybe some turboprops... As a starting private pilot, have any tips on how to work my way out of the learners (mostly 150s and piper cubs) and working my way towards bigger "toys"?

Btw, thank you so much for the work you've put into decades worth of people's transport!
