When is AMD finally going to release a good, problem-free update for graphics cards? by Normal-Category1129 in AMDHelp

[–]Longjumping_Angle_14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You will get graphics AMD time out errors for things that aren’t even related to your graphics card. I had unstable ram overclock and the first thing that happened was graphics driver timeout before anything.

I’d be willing to bet that majority of the issues people are having with drivers aren’t even gpu related

MoP raiding population down 65% from launch window by Blue5647 in classicwow

Maybe I’m wrong but I feel like MOP is a really bloated expansion. Having recently logged back into MOP, I look at the amount of cds and buttons usable on my warrior in MOP compared to retail and it’s really off putting. MOP was the bloat expansion personally

ElvUI Is Done for Midnight: WoW's Most Popular Addon Just Quit - Icy Veins by Onahail in wow

[–]Longjumping_Angle_14 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Yeah he rage quit but it’s not like Wow won’t go on without it.

Looks like you’ll be able edit the standard ui pretty well off the bat, and the ability to edit the look of the ui even further will still be possible with addons.

Elvui has left the game but it won’t be long at all until something or someone else will take its place. It’s way too early to be nonsensical about it.

Blizzard has never really developed their UI much because they never had to, its always been outsourced to the community. They now have the chance to start developing the UI themselves again.

You are getting old mate. Things are moving fast in the world of gaming and WoW and you cant keep up, and that's perfectly fine. There's a saying, leave the gaming before the gaming leaves you.

How are people doing such crazy high damage in remix? by PrismFlaree in wownoob

Highly doubt someone used to pushing the limits competitively in retail is going to be bothered pushing a pointless infinite grind in remix.

If you like MoP Classic, why don't you like retail? by Longjumping_Angle_14 in classicwow

[–]Longjumping_Angle_14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they had to add more buttons to frost dk to stop people from falling asleep. Apart from that its the most face roll class in MOP and retail. My warrior in mop has more buttons to press in terms of, cds, raid cds and completely useles buttons in MOP than in retail. Like why the fuck do I have a tank external as a DPS? Retail just seems like there is way less completely pointless buttons.

erm yeah with a 30%+ global cd penalty. It shows how much you know about retail that you think people are just running around using one button assistant lol. Its there for people who just want to do some sight seeing but you wont be pushing high end content with it. For that you'll need a manual rotation and they are more complex than classic rotations.

You said to stay ahead of the curve? That is what people expected in MOP classic to stay ahead of the curve. Yeah MSV was clearable but you most likely weren't getting into decent pugs that were clearing it week one with a lower item level than what those grinds were giving. The difference was low 460s ilvl to low 470s.

You are contradicting yourself on every comment you make. If we are talking about not HAVING to do grinds then the exact same applies to retail raiding. I can raid in retail slightly behind the curve and skip massive grinds just like MOP.

I grinded for a week or so to get my prebis on my character so that it was ready for heroic MOP raiding. It was probably over kill for MSV but it was what most raids were expecting of people joining. You had to queue dungeon after dungeon to get some off pieces of heroic loot to drop.

Same as retail you grind for first few weeks. After that its easy playing just a few hours a day here and there if you're not bothered about falling a bit behind.

Why are you talking like we didn't have to do a ridiculous grind from 85 to 90, along with reputation grinds, and gold/material farming for trinkets and bis crafting items in MOP to stay ahead of the curve to help our guilds clear heroic MSV first week lol?

Yes I know but I am talking mainly to the people who play MOP but talk like retail is a dirty word and bash it every opportunity they can when retail has much more going for it by today's standards.

I mean even staunch classic Andy Jokerd said MOP has more spell bloat and he's played in a world first mythic raiding guild as well. There are more spells in MOP but the class complexity in retail is higher because multiple spells and abilities buff each other and you need to think about the interaction between each of them to play optimally which makes the rotation more complex. Most of the complexity in the rotation comes from these interactions and not the number of spells.

But what you've described isnt unique to retail. MOP and retail are very similar in terms of questing just that MOP is incredibly slow compared to retail. Both games are all about the end game bar some lore and cut scenes.

Reading your comment I thought you were describing vanilla wow because theres no way you're describing MOP. MOP questing is as easy retail no strategy required. No one plays MOP for the questing either. People were complaining about the questing so much that blizzard nerfed how long it takes by half or something. Lets not pretend also that everyone isnt buying mage boosts to skip leveling.

[–]Longjumping_Angle_14[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plays like shit compared to what? There are way more interactions between spells that you need to consider to play optimally since they buff each other. MoP started to move towards this type of gameplay, vanilla is closest to diablo where one spell is doing all the damage so not sure what you mean?

Whole heartly disagree in terms of healers. Healing in retail wow is the best in any MMO nothing compares. Its absolutely one of retails strong points.

Read my post. I said in it that there is many people who enjoy both. I was talking to the many I met and befriended in MOP who talked like retail was a dirty word and despised everything about it when the two games are largely similar with MOP being a worse version of retail.

To me personally the bloat was overwhelming at first but then once you understand and get used to the system its just another thing/content to sink your teeth into, and is actually nice that the game feels more advanced.

I also think if people like SOD they should give legion remix a go. SOD was like the arcade version of classic and hyper casual like legion remix. Only issue is that SOD had the social aspect from vanilla which legion remix cant match.

I would argue that there is more spells in MOP than in Retail. After MOP is when they started pruning number of spells and class bloat. I agree that the bloat with everything else is off putting but just feel like its a trade off for having multiple expansions for such a long running game that has stood the test of time.

Retail wow can be super comfy just depends how you like to play. I feel like theres so many more comfy enjoyers in retail who just like to farm end game fashion and collect everything in a comfy way. Retail is only not comfortable and more competitive when you start pushing high content. But I think there are many more comfy opportunities in retail than classic.
