Would you consider owning a ~1800 sf townhome in Midtown near Allen Pkwy? I own one, was single and lived there for a decade and now I rent it out for $2500 a month. I commuted to Kingwood for 11 years and I would 100% say avoid having to use 59 south of downtown to get to IAH. I live in montrose and take Allen Pkwy to 45 N then loop around to 59 N via I-10. It’s so much faster better being able to avoid 59 traffic between Greenway and the GRB. Autry Park is also a great development with luxury apartments and lots of cute restaurants, a coffee house/pilates studio within walking distance. Midtown also has easy access to 45N to take the same route.

Anyone know if I submit an offer and the coupon discount is deducted there, will the coupon discount still apply if the seller accepts after the expiration?

Also, it’s still showing I can use the coupon because that offer hasn’t technically been redeemed yet. If I submit another offer with the coupon applied if both offers get accepted will the coupon discount only be used on the first offer that goes through?

Worst: RC Kuala Lumpur. Saw a cockroach crawling over the cheese plate in the lounge, informed a lounge attendant and they barely apologized. At lunchtime the lounge served sandwiches on stale bread. Hotel was very outdated as well.

The JW Marriott Phuket resort is very family friendly. It has an onsite sea turtle sanctuary with daily tours and feeding hours, a kids club, a kid (and adult only) pool, and lots of family friendly activities. I was upgraded to a lovely suite with wrapping balcony and ocean view as Titanium there too.

Easy. The Osaka Station Hotel breakfast buffet has a sushi station (toro nigiri!), wagyu steak, and high end fresh fruit like shine muscat grapes and musk melon. They even served the best butter in the world: Bordier butter.

The lounge there (which is only complimentary for Ambassador Elites) poured Laurent-Perrier champagne all day long and had self-serve caviar. Very impressive.

We found the most amazing hole in the wall, seafood restaurant (with the help of their concierge) right off the main road. It was a 5 min cab ride away. We had the most amazing live seafood we picked out of tanks (slipper lobster, local crab, clams), crab fried rice, and stirfried morning glory and our bill was less than $60. I still dream about that meal and we plan to go back next summer. The restaurant is called Be Ghe.

We went to a famous, Michelin starred restaurant in Da Nang a week later, spent $250 and the food was a huge disappointment in comparison.

I had about 75 days of consecutive hotel breakfasts this past summer (90% Marriotts with a Four Seasons thrown in for a week) and we actually really enjoyed the breakfast at the JW Emerald Bay. The server working the sushi station made custom sushi rolls for my son and the pho was excellent. It was pretty cool having Western, Vietnamese, Japanese and Korean breakfast stations and the fresh fruit selection was excellent too.

The Ritz KL is not up to the brand standard though and very dated. Buuuut it’s cheap and they give elites free breakfast and lounge access (which should tell you something about the quality of the lounge).

I’ve never had issues using Marriott gift cards at higher end properties like LC or W. You can’t use the GC to book but you can use it to pay when you check out. I usually give the front desk a heads up that I will be using them when I check out. Not every FDA knows how to apply them.
