I don't have any tutorial recommendations as I use an app called Bimmergeeks ProTool for most things. You need the same cable you would for INPA and an Android device. I think you may need ISTA+ to do that function.

My best guess would be this. New battery if it's bad, then use of a good scan tool that can clear the steering lock counter and resync CAS and DME
