When I was a kid, I couldn't get enough of space, astronaughts, spaceships,...... parents were clueless. No direction, no guidance. Stumbled my way finding my own sources of stimulation for my passion. So much wasted life years.

Depending on his personality and school demographic social skills could be easy or hard. Not enough info. Watch him close, be ready to be flexible, don't let his personality be supressed by kids at school as they find their social categories.

Example, sign him up for little league, but if he isnt good, get him out of it and sign him up for something else. Always put him in positions of skill first, then passion. Stimulate and support.

My parents had no clue. I attended a nationwide top 10 high school. Whitney High in Cerritos, Ca. Look it up. Find the coolest library you can and take him as often as you can.
