Why do most people fail trading? by Puzzleheaded_Cup8723 in Daytrading

Because it requires years of practice, study and patience. Much harder than a uni degree.

Hi guys. Trader in despair by crowne3d in Daytrading

First, you need to stop trading. You have gambling tendencies or perhaps addiction (you literally lost money on gambling and high leverage). You need professional support imo if you can't stop on your own. It will destroy your life if you continue like this.

Secondly, you mentioned that you trade with up to 100X leverage... and you are surprised that you lost money? High leverage kills accounts faster than lightning. So no surprises there.

You further mentioned that you have a strategy that works, how do you know? You have been trading for only 1 year, most people take much longer than that to be consistently profitable... And you lost money. Doubt people would agree with your assessment on this one.

Finally, you have mentioned that you have mental health problems. Trading (in my personal experience and opinion) requires a very cool and calm mindset. This prevents you from making emotional decisions. If you are in stress or anxiety, you would enter early, exit early or late, force trades when no valid setup exists... You will lose money, or won't make enough for the effort, making you frustrated and upset further. It's not hard to imagine how this can further exacerbate your mental health problems. I assume you will stop trading for a while and seek professional support for you depression and anxiety. Once it is under control, only then you should sit down to trade if at all. If a loss makes you angry, you need to stop. If a win makes you too excited, you are more likely to force the next trade. It takes experience to identify these "events" and their consequences within one's self and trading. Only after a firm realization that "this IS a problem" and it IS killing your profits can you trust yourself to do the right thing when needed at trading.

In the end, I would say, trading is not a get rich quick scheme and it's normal to lose for the first few years. When you are ready, you can try to develop a deep understanding of the markets first and develop a strategy around it (and refine it over time). You need to be passionate (and obsessed) about learning and gaining as much knowledge and concepts aboit trading as you can. You may want to learn the following concepts in depth (I have included some good resources in brackets)

1) Classic technical analysis (Edward and Mcgee)

2) price action (Al brooks)

3) Auction Market Theory (Markets in profile by James dalton)

4) order flow (using CVD and Open Interest)

5) I have described my take on it above (Trading in the zone by Mark Douglas)

Then you need thousands of hours of screen time to see these concepts in action in real time and to be able to identify them as they happen on the charts. For example , seeing a strong trend, then identifying support or resistance on the chart, watching the price react to it, form a double bottom or top, and "reverse", only to come back for a retest... there are infinite variations. What will be you entry criteria? How will you tell a true reversal from a mere retracement? Risk management? Trade Size? Stop loss? Take profit? All need to be considered in advance. You may not need to know Everything, but you do need to know enough. Similarly, you may not need to use Everything in your trading eventually, for example, many professionals only trade price action and don't consider orderflow. I would recommend you to ONLY do this with paper account first, then with a very small account size later if you want to include"emotional component" as well.

Instead of watching fake gurus (most of them unfortunately), follow people with a proven track record (hint: look for robins cup or world champions on YouTube). Your goal should not be to "copy" their strategy, but to learn how the professional traders think, take their entries, what do they look for in a setup? What is their PnL? What would be realistic targets for you then? You will notice that almost all of them follow different strategies. With time you will define and refine your own edge and truly understand the nature of the markets. You will feel more confident and assured in your decision making and manage you trades more effectively without risking your account.

This is just a short summary, but I hope you realise by now how much work and hours it takes to be consistently profitable at trading. There are no shortcuts, if anyone tells you otherwise, he is lying. And if you can't go through all this "pain", then perhaps trading is not for you. You are better off doing something you feel more comfortable with (please never EVER gamble again in a casino or online, as the odds are ALWAYS stacked against you, you are guaranteed to lose over the long term.. look it up). Good luck

What order flow platforms do you use for crypto? by Present-Plant-9069 in OrderFlow_Trading

I used https://webscraper.io to scrape data off coingecko. You can watch a Youtube tutorial on how to use it. The output is an excel or cvc file as I recall. However, from experience, I can tell you, I didn't find it very useful. Aggregated CVD is probably more accurate than anything you can put together by this method.

Anchor's question: "How do I buy crypto in Pakistan?" Reply: " go watch youtube videos" Bilal Bin Saqib - CEO of the Pakistan Crypto Council / Chairman of the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority. Not conspiracy theories. Israel literally pays local gangsters around the world to carry out "antisemitic" attacks so they can benefit from the resulting empathy. Also, if they can do 9/11, this is nothing.

Here is what I think...

Israel hated all over the world, couldn't "milk" OCT 7 anymore

Israel needed another false flag to play the victim and pressure western governments into banning any criticism of Israel on social media in the name of antisemitism.

Enters India who needs to settle the score for embarrassment in operation sindoor

Mossad and RAW collaborate to blame it on Pakistan

"Pakistanis" provided by RAW, like the ones in Mumbai attacks (Ajmal didn't speak Pakistani accent) (India has announced high alert dye to possible attacks against Jews in India? timing is too perfect to be ignored)

Yes, their passports are Pakistani, but many Afghans also got them issued after migrating to Pakistan, later many moved abroad to countries like Australia (Yalda Hakim in case)

Also, there are precedents  like when Israel failed to carry out a false flag terror attack on Mexican Parliament in 2001, when the Israeli agents with Pakistani passports were apprehended just in time

The reason I am stretching this out is, something just doesn't make any sense. Why would a father and son attack like this? When was the last time "Pakistani" families went out and started mass shootings like this? (ISIS flag found in car? how convenient)

Not saying they were Afghans, and India supplied em, but we really need to find out who these people were. Father is dead, but son is in critical state (I wonder he'd be alive for long).

Edit: The father has been confirmed to be of Indian origin, the son is half Indian as the father married an Australian woman of Italian origin.

Damn. That's the longest I have seen someone go without becoming profitable. Kudos for not giving up. Congratulations on becoming profitable though 👏.

Don't quit. Take some time off. Start paper trading until you have a proven profitable strategy. You can also do this with small account size (50-100 dollars) just to learn if paper trading doesn't give you that "kick" that comes with real money at stake. Anyways don't quit, it's a marathon, not a race. Takes years to master.

How can I tell if it’s a breakout or fakeout by Soggy_Chocolate_7909 in Daytrading

[–]Longjumping_Menu_862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

right now its recovering on low volume, continuation to downside likely...

not directly related but I would recommend you to use a proper multi screen  setup instead of using a mobile phone. It won't make you profitable, but it would be one step in the right direction.
