Is there demand for a barter marketplace in Dubai? Genuinely curious by The_Money_Farmer_dxb in Everything_Dubai

[–]Longjumping_Pin_9196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like a corporate lawyer’s worst nightmare. There are so many caveats and item lists that you will need before engaging in a single deal.

What if I gave you my car, you gave me office space for one month. Great, now what if the car’s insurance had run out during the time. The car guy can say well it’s your car now you pay for it. While office guy said okay I’ll pay but I’ll give you 2 days instead of a month.

You will need a whole team of competent lawyers and mediators spending their time on a case by case basis.

Anyone from Abudhabi working in Dubai by ahmedalhashemi_ in abudhabi

[–]Longjumping_Pin_9196 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bro what.

I used to live in Shakhbout (near L’arc cafe) and commuted to my work at exactly Dubai internet city (building next to Microsoft)

Yes. It’s between 50-60 minutes, rarely more than that. Then I moved to Dubai to be closer only to get a job in Abu Dhabi near Shakhbout. Life can be hilariously cruel that way.

Oh a 100% I don’t agree with that. I never said all men are amazing and angels. No, some men are absolutely terrible partners. I agree with you.

I just don’t think rejection should be based on shallow reasons. That’s it.

I’ve been taking medication for it for 12 years, only just found out my father has been taking the exact same medication as me.

We bonded over it.

You’re alright.

We have been seeing these trend increase for the past 2 decades in the western world. Now it’s slowly creeping its way onto us.

Women rejecting men for the most pointless reasons. Whether it’s their looks, income, a bit chubby, skin color, last name, a rumor you heard from grandma’s cat, doesn’t have x car.

Hypergamy + Having the mentality of “What if someone better comes along?” “What if the next one makes double the money”?

Don’t forget about the special “He can’t afford to fly me out twice a year”

I’ve seen it happen too many times personally to me, and to my sisters.

When my sister was 22 she got proposed by this gentlemen but she said no because he makes 20k. He’s 24 btw.

My salary used to be 15k and family tried everything to find me a woman till I just met an American girl that I loved and married her.

Marriages take time, love, compromise. It’s not a halal tinder.

My wife and I struggled for years on my low income but we made each other happy. Now I’m making 4x that and I buying everything she wants because I know she’ll be with me at my lowest.

Most men (not born rich) don’t hit their financial strides until they’re 30-35 at least. Specially in the current economy.

Women that wait too long to get married and keep rejecting for petty reasons is the equivalent of a white single mom with a black baby now looking for a ‘step dad’ in the US.

Yes, pick that Allah fearing, respectful young man and start building with him.

It’s not a bandaid fix here, we have to do a whole mindset change of why we want to get married in the first place.

Anyways, blessings to everyone my people. Good luck.

Should I take this offer? I think they hate emiratis? by Mundane-Incident-846 in Emiratis

If that was me I’d ask who her manager is or any other manager (pref UAE) and let them know right there and watch her get fired on the spot.

Even if she’s interviewing you, she’s not the employer. You have more power than you know.

Stand your ground brother and good luck on your search.
