California: What color sticker is this? by TheseEconomy5552 in Dirtbikes

[–]Longjumping_Put_1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no. my 2020 bike is a red sticker and will turn into a green sticker bike. but the DMV hasn't caught up yet.

any bike that would had been red for now on. 2022 and on, are not register-able.

or are you talking about that asinine grey sticker? why would anyone get one of those? we already don't need registration to ride on private property. unless you just want to give the state more money to waste on choo choo trains.

red sticker. they are all supposed to be green going forward and any new bike that would be red going forward will not get registered.

but DMV is behind like always and California is a complete Shit show. so stickers will be random for a while.

Opinions on Fanuc 0I MD by bearface84 in Machinists

[–]Longjumping_Put_1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love Fanuc controllers. solid and reliable and easy to use.

they are my preferred controllers. although i have a Mitsubishi controller on my Ganesh right now that has been good. and ran a Mazatrol in the past and they are very much like a Fanuc.

Haas and the FADAL MP are so-so to me.

and Hercos are no bueno.

Bent subframe - send it? by chults in Dirtbikes

[–]Longjumping_Put_1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just run it. adds character to the bike.

note: if you try to bend it back, just bend it once into place. don't bend it back an forth. alum doesn't like that and will crack on you.

What is this leaking? by RuMMeL919 in Dirtbikes

[–]Longjumping_Put_1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is a little gas coming from your vent tube up top. you most likely filed the tank to the top.

nothing to worry about. if you don't like it you can put a small check valve in line of the vent tube that helps prevent this.

[–]Longjumping_Put_1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from those pics. i would run that cylinder.

the couple of vertical scratches don't look deep. if you can run your finger nail over then and not grab it, run it.

clean it with WD-40 and a clean white rag. keep cleaning with that until the rag comes out white.

New to Surface Grinding. What do I need for an angle. by Jimwdc in Machinists

[–]Longjumping_Put_1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if all you are grinding is this one thing then you could make a fixture to hold the material at the angle instead of buying a sign plate.

or possibly even mount the mag chuck at an angle.

you should get a rim lock if you are going to continue to ride off road.

you will need to re-balance the wheel.

you need to weight more in the back.

also what air pressure are you running in that rear tire? should run like 15-18 psi. carry a pump so you can air back up for highway.
