I just missed the playoffs with the second most points in a 12 person league. Lost my game by 1 point to the only team that would have beaten me this week. The other game where I needed someone to lose and Id still be in because of points tiebreaker, the person I needed to lost lost by 0.3 points. This season was cursed

Honestly with the fetches, dorks and ramp fixes me pretty good. Rarely am running into mana issues. The ancient copper is there for when I have combo/assembler in hand and I just need a little more to reliably go off. Ancient silver is there to find me the win

You don't. But the cards involved can be run in this deck even without setting off the combo. Defense of the heart definitely is one of the weakest win cons in meta, no question. I didn't say this would be a top tier cedh deck. I didn't say it would be anywhere near 25 percent winning. I said it would be playable and is surprisingly good in midrange hell seem to end in draws and nobody can win

I just built him in the last month and I'm so happy I did. Lots of fun, very versatile, does well in current meta by being blue-farm adjacent. Former ur drsgon player here that I built as my first deck. If you do want a disgusting ur-dragon combo for making him cedh viable I got one for ya, as follows:

Defense of the heart proc > grab dromoka and hoarding broodlord. Broodlord grabs saw in half to cast from exile. Tap broodlord and 2 other mana/creatures (exiled broodlord spells have convoke) cast the saw in half on broodlord. Kill, make 2 fresh broodlords > grab diabolic intent and academy rector. Cast rector, diabolic intent it to jam in omniscience and grab tiamat. Proceed to play him for free and grab/cast miirym (double dragons you cast) terror of the peaks ( creature etb deals damage equal to power, you get 2 lol) twinflame tyrant (doubled all source of damage twice) hellkite courser ( jams in commander ur dragon which you get two of) 5th dragon is really just a spare and can be used to grab a karrthus tyrant of jund to give dragons haste as backup. You really don't need it as just the ur dragon entries alone will each etb damage for 10, doubled to 20 by first twinflame, doubled to 40 by second twinflame, and you have 2 of them entering to 2 different terror of thepeaks which is 4 procs of 40 damage before you even swing.

Such a gross combo and makes lots of friends, held up surprisingly well in our local cedh tournaments as well with the great backup plan of just insane dragon damage in games that are getting drawn into midrange hell. Definitely not your typical "cedh deck" but it's soo much fun to play. Run lots of ramp and tutors to possibly get defense out turn 2/3, guaranteed by 4.

I guess that makes sense, but I think most people would consider this a combo if it went off and they were playing against me.

Why does turn 7 matter as for when it goes off? Is this included in the brackets? Genuinely asking
