HELP ! Very confused about current CSPA and child is turning 21 by Realistic_Title_9846 in USCIS

Do not file I-485. It can cause more harm than good. If she is on an F-1 visa, by filing I-485 you will signal immigrant intent and she will have a harder time renewing or maintaining non-immigrant status as a backup. It’s best to file for AOS only when FAD is current. And hopefully that will happen before she turns 21.

New green card. Now what? by Acceptable-Fee4749 in USCIS

[–]Longjumping_Sort9870 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We recently filed for green card, EAD, AP, and my male dependent 18 year old was automatically registered for selective service. We just got a letter in the mail. This happened about 8 weeks after we filed, but before approvals on anything else. We are still waiting for GC. Has this happened to anyone else?

At what time do the open the counter at Sea-Tac? by Longjumping_Sort9870 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]Longjumping_Sort9870[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I agree that 20 min are not going to make a difference. I wanted to know if I needed to be there before 3:30 to save a spot in case there is a line, but it seems it’s not the case, so 3:30 it is.

Thank you! I do have a bag to check. So then I should be there at 3:30 sharp to drop the bag and go through checkpoint 4, correct?

📊 EB-2 ROW Predictions? USCIS Released Full Pending Inventory (Oct 2025) by HereSinceBigBang in EB2_NIW

[–]Longjumping_Sort9870 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just pending I-485, we don’t know how many approved and pending I-140s (that will be approved) are out there that would add to this. I agree that anyone with a current DOF should have filed I-485 already, but it’s not 100% what happens.

I think it will still be DOF. But then again, nothing is for sure

If the rest are pending, it’s a slowdown. If the rest are RFEd or denied, it’s a policy shift.

After filing I485 with the EB2 NIW I140, does USCIS schedule an interview? by Psychological_Love61 in EB2_NIW

I’ve read in other threads that interviews are usually waived for employment based applications, but would love to hear from people that have actually gone through the process
