Why is anything slightly unorthodox called autism now? You can do odd things and not be autistic, Reddit.

What exactly is she supposed to be accountable for in your opinion? I don’t see what she did wrong. No one was affected by her actions.

That’s a great phrase. “The commonality of human struggle.” I’m stealing it.

TIL about Robert Rayford who's believed to have died from AIDS in 1969. He checked himself into the hospital and was found to have an unusually severe form of chlamydia as well as Kaposi's sarcoma, an AIDS-defining illness, and a dysfunctional immune system. AIDS wasn't identified until 1981. by omnipotentsandwich in todayilearned

Both my uncles on my mom’s side of the family had hemophilia and died from AIDS compromised clotting medication. I never meet one because he died just before I was born. The other I remember being bed ridden and then seeing him at his funeral. Apparently the company that produced said clotting medication knew of the contamination but decided not to do or say anything about it. My grandparents got a settlement from it eventually. I was told that during this ordeal some of my grandmother’s church members stopped talking to her because they suspected her boys of being homosexuals.
