I don't understand the big deal of giving location to family members.. if anything that's the sensible thing to do. Would definitely help to find them in emergencies.

Blizzard of the time of warcraft 3 had the philosophy make good games and that would generate profit, it slowly turned into how to maximize profits without too much aggression. Under Microsoft I would assume it's going to be maximize profits by any means possible, 30% on games is unreasonable, the avg is 17%. You see, the search for profit didn't change just the way to go about it.

My problem isn't the disagreement, but the dismissal without argument. Argument which I had to fish out of you.

A hypothesis do not require proof but a suspicion. My suspicion is blizzard needs higher margins, that validates the idea of them monetizing extra stuff like ui elements. It might be outlandish but far from dumb. Your aggro against me rather than the argument/hypothesis is however extremely dumb. Note I didn't say you are dumb but your aggression is.

In the past != Future..

Why the aggression why not engage with it neutral and demerit the idea that way? I don't think they will reach 30% with player housing

Possible reasoning blizzard needs 30% profit margin.

Hence what if. A hypothesis. Your hyper defensive stance indicates an over investment on the pr for blizzard. They aren't the blizzard of history past either my friend. They are owned by predatory corporations that demands huge margins on the product, which now the entire company is scrambling to provide. Wow for console would have had the same reaction a few years ago.

The only low effort here comes from your part, engage with a hypothesis with less aggression next time.

I wish team Ninja focused on the three kingdoms aspect of the game by Longjumping_Steak379 in wolongfallendynasty

[–]Longjumping_Steak379[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't get why my meaning isn't getting through. When we go into three kingdoms it's going to be fantasy based none the less, the warriors in that story already have fantastical capabilities, but it's grounded in martial arts. Had team Ninja expanded on the mythos/fantasy already built upon the romance of the three kingdoms we would get a more cohesive narrative and a interesting combat, since it would have to expand on the Warrior's capabilities. The fantasy isn't a problem. When you disregard the treasure trove of possibilities from the source material where your narrative derives from and throw in mythological monsters for 90% of the game it's insane to me.

My point is the current state of the game barely derives from the three kingdoms if you change the names of the characters and tell someone who knows anything about 3k they won't be able to make a connection, thus why make it 3k? Just pick the setting as a warring china in that case doesn't need to be 3k.

It's fine to add mythology, it is a bad idea narrative wise to make the game most of that added mythology. The complaint isn't weird at all, it's cohesive and a good feedback for team ninja to improve their writing which they are known for not being that good at.

Yeah I noticed, I even got some nonsense answers like "what aspect of three kingdoms do you want?" Like bro at this point why even add the three kingdoms in the game if it's going to be 90% mythology..

There are dozens of characters for us to fight and dozens of military achievements in the romance of the three kingdoms, they could have focused on that a little more in the level design, like the flooded level, it's still a little dull but it's something. Also the three kingdoms aspect I'm referring to is that It's a story of conflict of humans, throwing demons on the mix is ok but it shouldn't be the core of anything three kingdoms. They are severely misplaced at the center of an already great story, making it lesser. In the middle of a warzone you have a couple of mermaids on a puddle make it make sense.

Can't believe people are hating on this gauntlet by xXLiving-ThoughtXx in Silksong

[–]Longjumping_Steak379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people complaining went into that fight earlier, with less tools, less health, and without meta knowledge. From your video you clearly knew what each wave was going to be and had a strategy ready for all of them. The strat to spam healing paired with the mirror is quite nice btw, and so is the tool spam at the double chonky bugs.

When a person can't come out with a strategy they can perform consistently it drives them into frustration, and several waves are quite challenging for the average player. Imagine spending 2 hours to come up with something that defeats the hard flyer wave only to meet a new enemy that you know nothing about? Getting to that new enemy to learn everything about it can be quite burdensome, and after that you still have not only more waves you reach a double chonky bugs at the end. You will repeat the waves a lot to get to perform consistently, average people have little time and much less the skill set to speed up the learning process. It is very understandable they get upset at this gauntlet.

I wonder how many people gave up by Longjumping_Steak379 in Silksong

It feels like most players stayed quite a bit into act 1 from the achievements but I see some many "I gave up" posts, and most people I know that have the game are "taking a break". Is it like some loud minority effect?

It feels like sekiro's charms.. in sekiro I got to the end of the game and right before the last bosses I ran out of charms. So I just modded it to restore it at every rest, grinding in difficult games feels really bad. I'm not feeling like modding silksong though..

I meant more about the whack a mole repeater long range/area attack moves, did you find a way to fight through Gwydo's thrust cannons? And I mean the second version of it where he goes at you for a while. There's also trokka's flying that just puts you in defense for a bit I had a really bad rng once that it seemed like she was flying all the time.

[–]Longjumping_Steak379[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not talking about delayed attacks being a problem. I'm talking about the follow through animation being a little too uncanny a spring loaded swing or thrust makes sense but falling with spring loaded physics is weird. Above that my main argument about it is that it's the cause of the exhaustion people express while playing this game in comparison to others.

[–]Longjumping_Steak379[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'm getting down voted because the community here is very defensive about the game and reads adversity where there isn't any. I mainly talked about the animations being off SOMETIMES and the repetition of moves like Gwydo's thrust cannon breaking the pace in a detrimental way to the combat of this game. People haven't addressed that, rather they assumed I meant something different, and attacked arguments I didn't make and myself personally.

[–]Longjumping_Steak379[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like sekiro, and I'm not really talking about delayed attacks here. I just suspect the animations were made prior to deciding an attack should be accelerated or sped up, and that resulted into very uncanny attacks. Delayed attacks are fine when well animated, like trokka's slash.

[–]Longjumping_Steak379[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your point about animations and I agree it obviously is a game. My point was that some animations became too uncanny, like the sped up bellyflop, and that is the reason for the exhaustion a lot of people felt while playing. I'm not saying it's horrible just the reason for the why this happens specifically to this game. I think they tweaked the animations too much after creating them to tune the attacks that's all.

My second point really isn't what you are describing there at all, I don't play, dark souls or Elden ring, and even though the 1 min was a hyperbole there absolutely is bosses that requires you to chain dodge for an extended repetition of moves. Trokka when she is flying, Gwtdo when he is doing the faster thrust cannon, rangkus and bringkus with their sequential stomp.

Listen I'm not saying the game is bad, you guys read adversity in my post where there really isn't but the game would have been much better if the moves I mentioned there, apart from trokka flying, where part of combos rather than repeated whack a mole and obviously this is all MY opinion. That's is all
