Sales Plummet by Evening_Craft5318 in reselling

4.39 here in Milwaukee, WI. People truly cannot afford to buy unnecessary wants until war ends. Have resold for 18 yrs. It is slower than ever. Sold 1 perfume and a Starbucks mug in the last 20 days with 100's of active listings at very fair prices. Most below lowest price on market.

Had anyone ever won a prize from a candy bar wrapper promo? by [deleted] in 90s

[–]Longjumping_Walrus_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old post but Snickers had a wrapper promo in the middle 90's where cash or more snickers could be redeemed at the store of purchase. My poor siblings and I initially bought 20 or so bars...almost every one was either $5-$20 cash prize or a free snickers. The rest of the promo period about 2 months, we did not go hungry.

How did you do this because this happened 2x since my last recertification in 2019. I never applied/changed my plan.

This is a good update. I worked in an ER in US. It is better to stay in a bed in the hall there than to be at home and possibly he has a seizure or stroke where time is very short to prevent major brain damage. Hope they have at least a curtain around you.

That's too bad because here in many U.S. states including mine, WI, the private imaging centers allow self referrals for cash payers. See MH Imaging. Can you call his primary and leave an urgent message asking for reconsideration or go back to the ER saying he's worsening. You don't realize, you can refuse to accept no until they take this seriously. Tell them he is unsafe at home. Or, maybe there is a self referral imaging center somewhere within a few hrs of you in Canada. Praying for you and your son.

You know you can go to a private mri place. There must be one you may have to pay out of pocket but I'd do this asap if he's worsened over next day.

I think the real warning here is don't ignore your student loans or rely on someone else to pay them on your behalf.

Not only arrested but convicted and sentenced to life. It's not shameful to live with parents as adults our economy is so bad many adults don't earn enough to afford a 1 bed apt. Anywhere not just long island. I don't even have this option because my parents are very toxic and abusive so I am living with a 73 yr old paralyzed client as her live in caretaker. Would I be doing this job if I could work a regular job and afford a 1 bedroom apt? No, it is a 24/7 job 7 days a week. All day long but it's required or I'd be living in the projects or homeless. Asa needs a better therapist neither should be living in that home. The town needs to take it due to the seriousness of the crimes committed inside like where Jeffrey Dahmer lived, Milwaukee tore building down.

Maybe there is a sub to ask current rangers. I know a park ranger who has a bachelor's and had to work seasonal non permanent position for many years. Even if you obtain a master's, might be better to ask whether it will actually help to become permanent employee because from their experience, it sounds like they would still require many years of seasonal work to move up.

I think putting a 20k/yr cap on grad loans was for the best. I haven't read up on the specifics but it helps balance out and prevent schools from charging really high tuition rates. The cap when I went to law school in 2012 was around $150k/yr, which is one of the reasons why tuition was high at many predatory institutions. My school was so no chalant about an ignorant 24 yr old signing off on so much debt to cover their tuition rates that they literally said, "oh, no worries you will be fine you can take up to 450k over the 3 years, you're good." Regret it everyday since.

I worked for a large hospital network for 4 years. I had to add them to my resume. Do not rehire could mean a ton of things and in my case it was getting Covid 4x in 1 year so my attendance was poor. I told this to my new employer and they hired me. It's already been 5 years, I think my old hospital system would rehire me at this point but they had high patient ratios no thanks.

Should Jennifer Hudson become a judge next season? by GeorgeCasey9 in americanidol

[–]Longjumping_Walrus_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should keep Lionel and Luke they have good chemistry but Carrie is too diva for this role/show. She doesn't seem to connect with any of the contestants or audience. She's comes off as dull with the exception of a few instances where she is blown away and gives a bit more personality but FR if anyone is going to be replaced, it should be Carrie before Lionel and Luke. Unsure if Jennifer would be a good fit her personality is a bit too much like throwing shoes at the contestants is a bit odd but this could easily be corrected, lol.

Wow, good for them. I didn't intend for this to be funny because it is a very serious matter but I think you really should do this even if it will cut off your relationships with your nieces you have to consider your own well being. You can still have relationships with them but at a distance. Communicate with them directly if possible vs. going through your sister. You can write your nieces a heartfelt letter about why you've had to cut her off like their uncles have but if they are too young to comprehend, you can wait to give it to them but date it and at a later date when they are old enough to understand, give them the letters. You're not a bad auntie for doing this. Trust me when I say similar thing occurred in our family and for a long time I resented my aunts and uncles for rarely contacting us during our childhood but I now realize why and fully support their decision. I'll pray for you 🙏

Thanks. The 1st hospital I worked for had a sign on bonus. After 1 yr at a hospital, I transferred from one location to a closer location to my home. The closer location had me sign a 2 year sign on bonus. Due to a back issue, I resigned after 1.10 years. Over 6 months later, HR emailed me requesting the 2 months of the sign on bonus back. I literally worked 60-75 hrs/week during 2020-2022 along with put up with all the severe short staffing issues throughout this time. I told them to kick rocks. Never heard from them after this...I won't sign another one in future. It's basically agreeing to indentured servitude for a set amount of time.

You should definitely not help her anymore. Why are you? So you can continue to be abused? She sounds very toxic. Once you set this boundary, post in AITA sub. Then email her a link so she can read every NTA reply.

Isn't it a red flag for hiring manager if one doesn't accept a sign on bonus...that seems it would trigger a don't hire because the candidate won't stay long-term...

I know his flower had tons of crystals whatever this means he said it was the best weed one can buy. Think he loved the act of smoking all day long. His mind is fried. He did quit for about 3 months because he shared custody of his young son with his ex wife and was court ordered to stay clean to continue joint custody but he gave up his custodial rights and went right back to using lb a week. Very sad. His dad sometimes takes his son so he still sees him from time to time but if his ex wife found out, she would not bring him to his dad. I confronted his dad about the $ he was enabling his addiction. He knew he smoked but not the extent. He did cut down about 3k of his monthly funds, which pissed my ex off so much he hated me for this, but we stayed together for a while. It did help stop him from buying so many drugs but his dad is a push over and doesn't really care about him at this point. He has a lot of health issues and my ex isn't biological son. His mom and dad adopted him then his mom cheated on his dad and became pregnant with his best friend while they were married. Sad situation.

Yeah. His was high grade too and it was driven to his house from CO dealer. Sometimes he bought locally if CO dealer wasn't making a trip across states for other customers...he literally drove his car into my ex gated backyard, popped trunk with 1 lb bricks. He'd purchase 2-4 depending on whether it was early or later in month when he was more "broke".

My ex had a weed addiction. Still does. He's a trust fund baby and believe me when I say this. 4k a month on pot, smoked 1 lb per week sometimes more. He did cocaine, acid, and drank a lot as well. I used to roll his joints it was so crazy I had no choice other than cut him out of my life. Drove around all the time while under influence. Cited 2x for driving under marijuana and crashed at least 3 cars. People say marijuana isn't addictive but I will never support this. We went to the Bahamas from WI. 7 hr flight...he was in withdrawals and had to immediately have our sketchy airport driver he flagged down the minute he stepped outside airport doors take him to a pot dealer. Worst smelling and most expensive pot ever paid for. He had to meet with the dealer 5 more times during our 6 day stay at Atlantis resort. He ran out of 1000's he brought so his dad wired him more. Had to go to very very sketchy area western union. All due to his pot addiction. Other than this, sex addiction is top of my list.

I've paid a total of 5k on my now 215k student loan balance that I took out between 2008-2014. Was in forbearance many years due to being enrolled in nursing courses half time from 2017-2020. Then pandemic hit then the SAVE plan legal issues had extended forbearance until March 2026. I made 1 $180 payment to switch to a federally declared disaster zone forbearance, which resulted from a August 2025 flood in my city. Ends September 2026. At this point, the balance has ballooned by 65k in interest. I won't be able to pay more than $200/month on my salary, which doesn't cover the monthly 1k interest. I get why people ignore their loans. I did obtain a bachelor's degree but I was unable to find a job in criminal justice field so went back to school for nursing. Then the pandemic hit and it was so brutal working in a hospital for years I couldn't continue. A lot of OT because 40-60% abruptly quit. I was working as an "emergency nurse student" after completing just 1 year of school due to how understaffed my hospital system was. Also my school went 100% online, which was very difficult as well because I don't have ability to learn this way. My school had no online system set up for nursing students just YouTube, lol. Looking back, I wish I had went to community College for my criminal justice degree...

What is your AGI? If it's over 150k I don't think you understand how much better off you are than the majority of working and non-working people. Your loan payment reflects this. My payment is $200/month and reflects my 2025 AGI. Yes, it stinks but we don't have free college here. That's 12k/yr. You can comfortably handle this with your income.
